I'm not sure if this warrants a barf alert, but it sure makes me sick. Barry Switzer is an Oklahoma football hero, but it's obvious he knows nothing about politics if he thinks Carson is a conservative.

He was the worst coach in history to win a Super Bowl. I can only hope his endorsement is as effective as his leadership of the Dallas Cowboys was in general.

Is Switzer still around ?

Did anyone NOT know this was coming?
To: sawoody
No news here. He also supported and campaigned for the current Democratic governor.

I am hoping this doesn't affect the vote. I got a call yesterday(tape recorded) with Barry Switzer telling me he was backing Carson. Apparently he endorsed "conservative democrat" Carson. Not sure who that is!
To: housewife101
How did they sober up Barry long enough to get an endorsement out of him?

I'll be rooting for Texas just because of this thread.

NOt sure I will hold the stupidity of Barry Switzer against a very decent man like Bob Stoops.
To: sawoody
He's donates to the Democrat party. I saw it recently.
To: sawoody
That's the problem. He's a football hero enough for some that this might sway some undecided. In a race this close it might make a difference.

Don't fret.
With a criminal like Switzer endorsing him, I'm sure his poll numbers will go down. :-)

How many faux national championships(beauty contests) did Barry and Bud win while their teams were on probation or under investigation? How many different sanctions have been placed on that team over the years? Barry and OU football tradition fit right in with Democrat 'ethics'. Perhaps the OK Dems can put him in charge of their 'pay for play' program...

On the MTP debate, Carson all but ran away from the liberal Dem national leaders...why doesn't DR Tom ask him who he will vote for senate majority leader if elected..
