My fear on a draft is that it will seriously attract riff raff to the military. A all volonteer froce get a lot higher percentage of motivated young people who want to be there not someone who has to.

No way this passes.

I heard Rangel brought this up so as to stir up folks against the Iraq War.

Personally I do not think that there should be a draft. The Dems will not want this to come up for a vote for it will likely simply embarrass them.

On the other hand, I do believe that incentives for volunteering and rewards for service should be greatly increased especially pay. Troops should also be exempt from income tax across the board. Military service should be rewarded in every possible way.

I cannot confirm, but if it is true, the Dems really ARE desperate.

Hmmmm, if true, let's see how much coverage this gets in the lamestream media.

We know it won't pass but this needs to be out front. The Dimz have been spewing their lies that Pres. Bush wants the draft and it needs to be shown that DIMZ are pushing for it.

I'll look forward to seeing this on the news tonight. Yeah, riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. :-)
