So GWB did not dominate the first debate, the sky is not falling. It seems that Freerepublic is filled these days with whiney little weenies that want to do nothing but complain. Would you people please toughen up!
Elections are hard work and you can't expect the Swift Boat Veterans For Truth to carry your water all the way to November. Live with it and do something postitive to help, instead of bitching about it.
Some of these same namby-pambys are the people that complain the most about "spineless republicans" that let the dems roll them over. When the going gets tough, the tough do not roll over on their President and complain about his weaknesses.
How about demonstrating the power of the people and our new medium, The Internet, to make a difference!
You need to stand on a soapbox at the neighborhood mall to tell everyone the Libs are "hanging by a thread", not here on friendly turf.
I'm voting for President Bush..even though I am mad as a hornet over his debate performance.
I clicked on this thread because I too felt that there was far too much hand-wringing. Either we have way too many DUers lurking or the freepers who are hand-wringing need to get busy and DO something to help our President! Get a yard sign or even a bumper sticker. It isn't an easy race and like Rush said the worst is coming on election day when the Dems will try any tricks to get illegal votes (ie - jail registration is the latest)...Joshua was facing tremendous odds and God spoke to him in Joshua 1:9 saying "Be strong and of good Courage"...well, Bush needs all our help, and our prayers, not our whining! So, the next time you feel like whining, drop to your knees and start praying instead!
If the person with whom you were sharing said foxhole seemed to be little unfocused and unmotivated, what would be your response?
A lot of posters who were disappointed with Bush's performance are his biggest supporters. Far from whining about lost chances, we were advocating a virtual 'get your head together' pep talk.
I think Cheney will clean the silky pony's clock tonight, and believe Bush will come across as relaxed and confident on Friday night.
Yeah budday!
I have complete faith in the patriots of this country. We will win in Nov.This madness will not succeed.Kerry is history!
I think the Dems were so down before the debate, that if Kerry had simply stood there and not wet his pants they would have still cried "Victory!" Their expectations were so low that Kerry didn't have to do much to "win" in their minds. Their enthusiasm will wane as the polls haven't changed much since the debate.
Then why is this thread at FR? I'm not encourging folks to vote for GWB...I'm telling them to quit being a bunch of wimps...that GWB will win re-election. They need to stop nashing their teeth and face a little truth here. I think Bush did fine in the debate. skerry sounded like a 'used car salesman' or better yet a liberal US senator. He said not'a damn thing...just a complete blow-hard...style has no substance to it whatsoever...you could see straight through him....he showed people nothing...on the other hand Bush told people truth...and he set-up skerry bigtime. Take a look at this analysis by a fellow freeper:
Bush built the container or the house to destroy Kerry.... Kerry is running water---- Bush let him run freely as he prepared the frames of the container to keep the aqueous behavior of Kerry... the house was successfully built...it is ugly and dirty work, that is why Bush worked so hard and let Kerry run.
The container was built on three key principles:
1. Kerry is a flip-flop politician
2. Kerry is a globalist proUN proWorld Court
3. Kerry is anti/weak on defense and poor for morale
Bush contained and framed these key "currents" of this liquid chameleon Kerry. Bush can now beat the hell out of Kerry within the house in which Bush framed. Kerry can't move. The only way for Kerry to escape is by exploding the frame, which will destroy his campaign... he'll have to embrace these "currents"....
Bush has won, he was winning the debates... not the debate
And you won't hear this until that dark mousy curly haired Krauthammer speaks on Fox... then all the news hacks will pick it up.... and I don't get paid for this... those stupid losers in the beltway press get all the doe.
Seems like everyone who posts here would have known the stakes in this race and what the MSM and liberals willing to do to regain power after rathergate.
Where did that story go, btw?
Face it. The media is in the tank for kerry. Always have been. Bush will use the bully pulpit to refocus the debate. Force Kerry on defense--defanding a voting record that will not hold up to any examination. He will not be able to spin his way out of a direct challenge from the bully pulpit.
The MSM wanted to change the dynamics of the race, and the president wants to use the bully pulpit to force kerry-edwards on defense.
The Poles are pissed off at Kerry. It will all start to unravel for the libs from here on, because the libs know that kerry's record cannot withstand the light of day. Wait, watch, and smile.
Instead of hiding behind slogans, how about being a man and telling us the screen names of those you feel are racist?
Sure hope you're right about this...
We should actually take an honest poll ourselves here. I think that most people get a feeling of how things are going where they live. I am in TX so I wonder if it will be Bush or Kerry>>I think Bush might have a "SLIM" lead!!!
I don't really trust polls by the media
LOL!
Ask Freepers? How "honest" would that be?
We're all President Bush voters. (hopefully)
I noticed Bush saying "It's hard work" a few too many times myself, but that was nothing compared to Kerry's flip flops.
I believe you were asked for a poll and source. I don't think this qualifies.
Works for me.
How many posts into this thread does the pity party start?
