Kerry Ad Falsely Accuses Cheney on Halliburton
Contrary to this ad's message, Cheney doesn't gain financially from the contracts given to the company he once headed.September 30, 2004Modified:September 30, 2004
Summary
A Kerry ad implies Cheney has a financial interest in Halliburton and is profiting from the company's contracts in Iraq. The fact is, Cheney doesn't gain a penny from Halliburton's contracts, and almost certainly won't lose even if Halliburton goes bankrupt. The ad claims Cheney got $2 million from Halliburton "as vice president," which is false. Actually, nearly $1.6 million of that was paid before Cheney took office. More importantly, all of it was earned before he was a candidate, when he was the company's chief executive.

Thanks, now I've got to find a reference for Clinton's use of Halliburton in Kosovo on a "no bid" basis.
Remember the Dems. motis operandi: It is the seriousness of the charge that matters. Lying and deceiving is just part of their character what little there is left.
Whatever happened to "Truth in Advertising"?
That Kerry and Edwards profess such devotion to their religion yet have no compunction about lying just scares me to death.
I work in Bloomington IN home of IU and a ridiulous leftwing local paper. Some idiot wrote the editor how Bush has a "secret plan" to draft "boys and girls" age 18-26 and how people should contact their congressmen to stop this outrage. I read the supposed "bills" s69 and hr 163 (I think these are the #'s) and found they are bills sponsored by Fritz Hollings and Charles Rangel, and they were introduced almost 2 years ago. I nearly had steam coming out of my ears! The "editor" of the paper could have taken literally 30 seconds to check this out before printing an obviously fraudulent attack on Bush, but no. What liberals say is unquestioningly believed.
Shortly the electronic media will be giving this disclaimer before airing Rat ads: The following advertisement by the Democratic National Committee has been researched and found to be untruthful in it's entire content, and is being broadcast for the consumption of Democrat zombies only. Please pardon any inconvenience this may cause you.
I'm confident Cheney will clear this one up -- loud and clear -- Tuesday evening.
Would he rather the job gets outsourced to France? 3 companies in the world do what Haliburton does, the others are in Germany and France. The French one is partially owned by Haliburton. What about this as a rebuttal?

Only applies to civilians. Politicians are exempt. You and I would go to jail if our widget ads were as deceitful.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but it thought the Hollings/Rangel draft bill failed so now the sponsors are Rangel and Baghdad Jim McDermott. Not that Hollings ( big disgrace ) isn't responsible, I just thought his name wasn't on the bill anymore.
Great post!
Go W!!!!
Thanks for ping Tonk...eegads it's just never ends, does it?
thanks for the ping Tonk...
while I dont have any love especially for Halliburton and KBR, a lot of that is being out here in the desert. They are having to work during the day, in the sun and the heat.
As usual, the Democrats have nothing to run on so they have to lie lie lie lie to get people to vote for them....this big corporation corruption thing is mainly a figment of their imagination and when it has happened, the companies were big on the Democrat side....
later man...
bump
No only that .. BUT WHAT MONEY HE HAS GOTTEN ... HE GIVES THE MONEY TO CHARITIES!!
