Why the Newsweek Poll will Break the Democrats Hearts
Ive listened in to the liberal talk shows in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as some of the Democrats in Los Angeles. And listening to them and their liberal talk, the tone for a lot of them is that, with the latest Newsweek poll, Kerry has now already won the election. They are really up, tune them in and listen.
And, thats great news for the Bush supporters. Because for folks who have been into politics and debates for the last 30 plus years, we know, this debate certainly has not won the election for Kerry. The very poll that has the left declaring Kerry as President, will be the same Newsweek poll that will break the Democrats hearts.
The reality will sink in about Tuesday night. The odds on favorite will show, come Tuesday night, the margin of polls will show that Bush is leading Kerry by 4 points.
With every single news broadcast at the top of the national ABC (radio) of the hour, the opening item is the Newsweek poll. Every single one, round the clock, since yesterday.
Well, keep it up ABC News. I will thank you for it.
Because you are making the same stupid mistake you have made over the last decades in your attempts to pump up Kerry. And we see your result. The liberals and the left are in heaven, and now their expectations are a million miles high. The leftist talkie shows, they are calling it over.
Super. This is really good. Because this Newsweek poll will do more in tearing the heart out of the Left than it ever did in bringing down the supporters of the President.
Once the reality sinks in, that Kerry hasnt won the election, that the race isnt over, that Bush is in fact in the lead, well. The Libs are going to be very down, and more then just down. It wont be the first time in a Presidential race that this very pattern has emerged.
Congratulations ABC news. They were all on the same airplane, but realized they were on the wrong flight. It was like standing in a swimming pool, and suddenly beaver Bill jumps in it. And theres a whole wave, kind of thrown into the pool. And a bunch of fellow beavers go with that wave Its the Wave!.
And then the wave kinda goes soapy sort of, and really isnt a wave at all. And, the wave isn't going anywhere. Certainly to out to that big ol' ocean. Because, they're all in a pool. Not in the ocean.
Thanks, Newsweek. Thanks, ABC, NBC, CBS. I guess, there isnt much else to do. Jump in the pool. Stay in the pool. Pee pee in the pool.
Hope you are right!
No, I wouldn't expect that one debate to change Bush's lead. It might tighten his lead a bit temporarily. How much remains to be seen. (But hey, I'd love to be wrong, and the lead not get less at all.) The Newsweek poll - polls are not supposed to be only from one part of the country. What kind of a poll is that? I think Newsweek favors Kerry, anyway. I'll wait & see what the Gallup poll, thank you very much.
By Thursday, Bush/Chenney will be up by at least 4% in the rolling 3 day average among likely voters.
So9
God knows they don't have brains!!!
Right On
Nobody knows how the debate will play out. Later debates probably have now assumed more importance. Some voters are a bit unsettled by the Bush performance. The election is still Bush's to lose probably, but it is in play. Don't count the poultry before its time.
Glad you wrote that--I've been thinking the same thing for a couple of days now. I remember when I was in the other camp--the side that was behind, had a "victory" couple of days of good polling, and then...zilch. I've got the same feeling now, but on the other side. I think the debate proves that people don't care about Bush the debater--I know most won't disagree, but if he does the same as he did in this past one, without the look of tiredness and annoyance, and a little more bounce, he's fine. Because, I think, most people don't wanna die, and they think Bush will kill more terrorists.
Something is happening and its good!
Nobody likes Kerry he is too LIBERAL!
Spot on Brian, and a breath of fresh air I might add.
I am so sick of the newbie Moby trolls spreading doom and gloom around this place today.
One debate does not decide an election and if it gives the'rats a false sense of euphoria, so be it.
>>>One debate does not decide an election.<<<
Especially a debate where there was no clear knock out by either participant.
This whole "WHOA KERRY WAS GREAT " thing has been nothing but spin spin spin and of course polls taken in the midst of spin are going to reflect the spin.
Wait people....Bush still has the lead. I am telling you!
Well... I just hope they try swimmin in the toilet so's we can FLUSH 'EM!!!
Rasmussen has Bush up by 4% today

I don't think a Newsweek poll is worth the paper it's printed on, but did you notice ABC et al, didn't give round-the-clock coverage to the Newsweek poll that had W up by 11 after the RNC conv.
I'm not that concerned about this poll or the debate. I am ,ore concerned about this Friday's jobs number and how that will play at Friday's debate.
the bookies are betting Bush will win. Lot of money on it.
The Newsweek poll might as well have been taken on DU. Same difference.
Gotta call my bookie! Money talks!
If only I had one and was a gambling sort of person.
I'm just keeping my eye on the ball and working steadily to get W re-elected Nov. 2nd.
Naysayers be d*mned!
