Close up pics of Kerry's "notes"
Frames of Debate Video ^ | Oct 3, 2004 | Jeff Head

Posted on 10/03/2004 2:01:20 PM PDT by Jeff Head

Here are the specific frames from the debate video shoqing most clearly what Kerry had in his hand as he took it out of his pocket and placed it on the podium.

I have taken two of the frames, lightened them, zoomed in, and sharpened the pics. No other enhancements have been made:

Cropped, lightened original of Kerry pulling item from pocket.

Enlarged and sharpened.

Cropped, lightened original, of Kerry putting article down.

Enlarged and sharpened.

Of course he had notes and was complicit with Jim Lehrer most likely..
HONOR maybe you expected.?.

What a rogues gallery the democrat party is.. Better Kerry than Clinton.. 2008 is to be feared.. Massive voter fraud planned for the forseeable future.. Oprah just mobilized an emormous "ditz" vote.. Amerika WOT a COUNTRY... You know whats needed and so do I... actually anybody with any sense knows whats needed.. even if they are too cowardly to mouth it.. Could be it needs to get much worse before it gets better..

The paper Kerry took from his pocket was so obvious I assumed both candidates were permitted to bring notes to the podium.

There is a saying that goes "hide in plain sight". It means that if you want to hide something, put it where everyone can see it because they will all overlook it.

Hugh Hewitt on Friday played long long excerpts of Bush's substantive answers.

You know, I heard a good bit of that and thought, I don't remember Bush sounding that good at ALL! I was in the car, went home and told my husband "You should have heard it, I was wondering if we watched the same debate!" Because all during the debate we were both repeatedly disappointed in Bush's performance, but the sound bites are really GOOD.

Perhaps we were so focused on his appearance, which was certainly haggard, that we missed a bit more of the substance of the debate. And plus, we were expecting him to just hit it out of the park and when he didn't, well...makes me wonder if I would have had a much different take had I listened to the debate rather than watched it.

Check this out, dennis, you can really see how Bush is trying to walk away, and Kerry just hangs on there.

You can have a dozen Democrats who don't cheat, but they'd still lie.

All I know is that he took something out of that pocket that was not a pen, and he laid it on the podium. It looks like note cards, but with these picks I can't say for absolute sure at all.

But it is something, and anything tangible was against the rules.

I am sure some of the netwroks have much more resulte footage of this that could be enlarged and enhanced to the point of being pretty clear what it is. it's my understanding that Fox is already doing this.

I think this is much ado about nothing.

WRONG!

President Bush was not prepared

An incomplete pass in football is given a completion by a defensive pass interference call. Why? Because it is CHEATING.

I am sick of the PC types on here who refuse to view cheating for what it is: Wrong.
And it should nullify any "win" Kerry gets by being heavily broadcast in the news. Why? Because CHARACTER MATTERS.

It doesn't matter what it was he removed from his pocket...or wasn't. It was against the rules. And because of that..The burden of proof should be on EFnK. Period.

"Much ado about nothing?" Perhaps it is, in your amoral universe. This attitude is what has led to our incremental moral decline.

I hope this is so true, because I have been spoiling for a fight lately and I think I just might have found the issue to combat Democrats.

Probably because it wasn't noticed to begin with, and also because most people were not aware of the specific rules.

Someone who was aware of the rules noticed this afterward and it has taken off from there.

I saw right after Kerry and Bush left the stage at the debate, someone ran up to Kerry's podium and picked up some things. I assumed it was the notes/scribbles Kerry made during the debate. Guess they didn't want them falling into the wrong hands.

Am sure there will be a prompt and full investigation into this. The Republicans had better coming out swinging from here on in. Noticed Kerry came out to draw first blood the other night. Did not like it from the beginning.

Doesn't matter what it was.

From section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" (pdf file) that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns:

(c) No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.

... (d) Notwithstanding subparagraph 5(c), the candidates may take notes during the debate on the size, color and type of paper each side prefers. Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium, table or other structure to be used by the candidate in that debate.

Yes, sir, we're all in that boat with you. Until there is more info from a source capable of refining the pics better, we will only be speculating.

NEED INPUT!!!!

Just goes hand in hand with this...see post

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1232761/posts

"at least FIVE of Jim Lehrer's "prepared" questions and ONE of his follow-up questions were DIRECTLY referring back to comments made by Kerry immediately prior during the debate and NONE were referring to anything said by Bush during the debate.

Jim Lehrer and Kerry were on the same page... but look fokes we know the fix was in but you not going to prove it(i.e. to the point of getting major traction)...just always be aware of the type of people your dealing with... never underestimate just how low they will go

My speculation was it could either be an outline of points or replies he needed to make..

Or a telecommunication device that would receive text messaging for prompting during the debate.
