XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN OCT 03, 2004 14:05:38 ET XXXXX
DEBATE MYSTERY: DID KERRY HAVE CHEAT SHEET?
Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:
"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."
So what did Dem presidential contender John Kerry take out of his jacket as he approached the stage [with his back to the auditorium's audience]?
What did Kerry place on the podium?
Video replays of the Kerry maneuver played all weekend long on the internet.
[A tight zoom of the Boston.Com feed shows Kerry pulling a mysterious "card" from his jacket. 14 seconds into video, after commerical]
A top Kerry campaign source explained to the DRUDGE REPORT late Sunday how Bush supporters were once again trying to distract.
"Kerry did not cheat," said the Kerry insider. "This is more lies from Republicans, who are hoping for a quick change of subject away from the president's performance, and the new polls."
Developing...
Thanks. I am laughing at the Whitman show. He is trying his best to argue the point.
Apologies for the double posts.
Why exactly is it that you are so desperate to defend Kerry on this thread? You've expressed your opinion, fine, we've all read it several times by the 800th post. You're still doggedly trying to convince everyone that Kerry didn't cheat, however, and you've only been here a few weeks.
I dunno. I didn't tape it.
I did tape it and watched it several times after the story appeared at Free Republic. I didn't see Bush pull papers out at any time.
When I post it Drudge had not yet had any text or links in his story.
We were viewiing the video here onanother link and i sent Drudge an emil, when he posted it to his site, I posted this and the mods here did a great job updating it with the text and video from the Drudge site as he added it.
But yes it does show a certain arrogance.
Thank you. Can you look at the end of the debate and see if Kerry pulled a device out of his ear?
The dims have gotten by with so much dirty politics that this wouldn't matter a hoot to them. They will risk anything to win. What about Sandy Bergers paper in the pants episode? Just what punishment did he face for hiding evidence?
Some caller into the Brian Whitman show said that Kerry pulled something from his ear and then put his hand in his pocket at the very end of the debate. Haven't heard that one yet.
WHAT?????? Cheat sheets? Naw, come on guys, Dems cheating? Seriously? Dems cheating??? Kerry a liar and a cheat???? The closer we get to the election, the more desperate dems become and the more interesting this will become!
That is right! The cliff notes Kerry used were forged....lol
"I didn't see Bush pull papers out at any time"
---I just watched the opening on C-SPAN and Bush pulled NOTHING out of his pocket--Kerry did.
To use omstrats own words from after the debate "Bushes poor dismal performance has DOOMED us'
I think omstrat has a position waiting for him in the Kerry Administration.
A clear picture of the cheating Kerry:

If it helps, post a closeup pic of the pens. I am in the pen business for 23 years and I can tell you there are pens out there that you can have your biography printed on them. Did you ever hear of scroll pens.
I thought kerry knew the questions in advance. THe day before he could only ramble responses to DIane Sawyers interview and the next night he is as sharp as a tack...?????
Whitman's a clown. Bush did not go in his pocket. Typical liberal response to an alleagtion- deny and distract
Will do... I'll let you know if I see anything...
When Kerry is reaching in his pocket - he looks like someone shoplifting - he's fixated on Bush to make sure he doesn't look over until he's done.
LOL!
I knew a couple of kids in high school that "made their own" from pens with clear barrels ...
