XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN OCT 03, 2004 14:05:38 ET XXXXX
DEBATE MYSTERY: DID KERRY HAVE CHEAT SHEET?
Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:
"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."
So what did Dem presidential contender John Kerry take out of his jacket as he approached the stage [with his back to the auditorium's audience]?
What did Kerry place on the podium?
Video replays of the Kerry maneuver played all weekend long on the internet.
[A tight zoom of the Boston.Com feed shows Kerry pulling a mysterious "card" from his jacket. 14 seconds into video, after commerical]
A top Kerry campaign source explained to the DRUDGE REPORT late Sunday how Bush supporters were once again trying to distract.
"Kerry did not cheat," said the Kerry insider. "This is more lies from Republicans, who are hoping for a quick change of subject away from the president's performance, and the new polls."
Developing...
or perhaps he passed them off to Leher during the famous wink and handshake..
Now let's see if you have the grace to apologize after this smack-down. WHEN THIS THREAD STARTED ALL THAT WAS ON DRUDGE WAS A HEADLINE!!!! The part you are reading has since been added. ....let your apology begin :-)
Right you are- unless of course..it's a HUGH and SERIES piece of chalk:)
You can bet the farm if Bush would have pulled something from his pocket all the msm scum would have seen it.
Kerry fills out his own after action reports 35 years ago. In 2004, he fills out his own cheat sheet. What a POS.
Thanks for the ping!

Also, you can see in the video how glaringly different (pun intended) the lighting was for the two candidates. I don't think this was an accident.

Kerry cheated? Well I wish Bush cheated as well or was keen enough to catch it and call Kerry out as a cheater. It is not our job to expose Kerry during the debate - it was Bush's.
I bet there is a feed somewhere of Kerry during Bush's summation.
Thanks for the ping, Salvation! Question: Will the allied ugly sisters of Brokow, Jennings, and Clift begin sobbing immediately? Pointing out more "intimidation" by Freepers?
John was just taking out one of his STRIPPING MEN pens...

He is right, we were discussing this on another thread and I sent an email to Drudge and advised everyone else to do the same. When Drudge posted it a few minutes later it was only a headline with no link to text, the headline even changed. I posted the Drudge link here and the mods added the text to the article later when it showed up on Drudge and the mods changed the title of the post.
Wrong, Kerry did not win the debate. At best it was a draw, even McCurry discussed this after the debate when he thought no one would over hear him.
Bush gained ground after the debates, sounds like he won to me.
All his career, beginning when he was first in debate action in 1963, Kerry has been able to carry notes of his choosing to the lectern. Perhaps he felt naked without his notes. I don't go so far as to think that Lehrer leaked the questions. It is enough that Kerry felt it necessary to cheat, and thought he could/would get away with it.
