XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN OCT 03, 2004 14:05:38 ET XXXXX
DEBATE MYSTERY: DID KERRY HAVE CHEAT SHEET?
Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:
"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."
So what did Dem presidential contender John Kerry take out of his jacket as he approached the stage [with his back to the auditorium's audience]?
What did Kerry place on the podium?
Video replays of the Kerry maneuver played all weekend long on the internet.
[A tight zoom of the Boston.Com feed shows Kerry pulling a mysterious "card" from his jacket. 14 seconds into video, after commerical]
A top Kerry campaign source explained to the DRUDGE REPORT late Sunday how Bush supporters were once again trying to distract.
"Kerry did not cheat," said the Kerry insider. "This is more lies from Republicans, who are hoping for a quick change of subject away from the president's performance, and the new polls."
Developing...
I don't think we need the mainstream media, really. Just having Drudge pick it up is already movement in the right direction. People talk.
Bet Kerry's praying Mt. St. Helens blows.
The dimwits do not need to address what is in the video, we only need to inform the voters as to what is in the video.
Too bad I won't be able to listen to Rush in real time until the third hour, but I have 24/7 thank goodness. Tomorrow is going to be good!
Sounds very plausible.
Exactly
"We beat the MSM one time, we can do it again. We need FOX's help though. Now that Drudge has this headlined, and Fox has the footage, guess who'll be going over the footage carefully because of the possible scoop? Fox would have filmed from several angles, more than what was telecast. The final verdict might come from them. This is an interesting twist. "
Has anyone pinged Rush.....and some of the other talk shows.....?
Monday will be interesting.
bttt
Besides a higher resolution video, a tighter shot would also show more resolution, same lines per inch res. in a narrower field of view = more resolution. This is a wide angle shot which limits resolution...put a tight front shot(or better yet side or rear shot) of him pulling the object out of his jacket and it might be clearer...also if there were any still photographers, they may have a higher resolution tight shot.
IMO its going to get examined like the Zapruder film....another JFK caught on tape...
I'm just glad it took the "Bush Lead Gone" off the top of the page!
True. Just look at what happened with the forged memos.
The next debates MUST have tight zooms on the Candidates from many angles if they aren't allowed to bring notes.
I just watched the debates i recorded on VCR,JOHN KERRY PULLED SOMETHING OUT OF HIS COAT,LOOKED LIKE A FOLDED PIECE OF PAPER!!!!!!!!!!
I just want to see more. I can't play the Globe clip. I just want in on the viewing.
If you are referring to the Newsweek poll it was cooked. Newsweek polled 15 percent fewer Republicans and 15 percent more Dimocrats than the poll befroe this last one.
Kerry pulled Jim Leher's questions from his pocket.
