XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN OCT 03, 2004 14:05:38 ET XXXXX
DEBATE MYSTERY: DID KERRY HAVE CHEAT SHEET?
Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:
"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."
So what did Dem presidential contender John Kerry take out of his jacket as he approached the stage [with his back to the auditorium's audience]?
What did Kerry place on the podium?
Video replays of the Kerry maneuver played all weekend long on the internet.
[A tight zoom of the Boston.Com feed shows Kerry pulling a mysterious "card" from his jacket. 14 seconds into video, after commerical]
A top Kerry campaign source explained to the DRUDGE REPORT late Sunday how Bush supporters were once again trying to distract.
"Kerry did not cheat," said the Kerry insider. "This is more lies from Republicans, who are hoping for a quick change of subject away from the president's performance, and the new polls."
Developing...
You are missing the point---how did this piece of video get used?
Ask yourself. The "high-res" blurry photos of Kerry happen to come from a piece of video that show the president unfolding something.
Coincidence???
I don't think so. I think this was a set up from the start.
But my point was that Kerry obviously brought something into the debate. The president did not. Unfolding motions by themselves demostrate nothing. You really can't tell what the president is doing and there is no reason to suspect anything dishonest. But Kerry's unfolding motions have been recorded directly following his video captured retrieval of the same object from his jacket (something expressly forbidden). THat is damning.
He CHEATED! Should we expect anything better from him?
The President lifted his pen off his podium and then took the cap off.
Are you blind?
Check pacocat's posting history out. He also was mounting a huge "the memos aren't forgeries" defense a little while back.
After viewing the video for the third time I think he had a pen and what looked like what we called in the Navy a wheel book which is used for keeping notes.
Do you think Kerry ever wears a suit more than once without having it dry-cleaned in between? He has a valet, for goodness sake!
How about just plain ol' MORALGATE!.....That way we could have sequals.....i.e. Moralgate I.. Moralgate II...etc...
I don't know what video you're looking at. Look at the slo-mo one. And yes, don't look at anything but GWB in slo-mo.
There is no question about it -- neither of his hands reach inside his jacket. You can tell even from behind.
No, I'm not blind. I see someone who is unfolding something. You may see something else. THAT IS MY POINT!!!!
Now, ask yourself this:
Why did this piece of equivocal film get used "supposedly" against Kerry?
I smell a set up that will get Matt Drudge lots of pings, and will backfire on everyone else.
I have no clue what you are looking at. Care to share?
Now things begin to make sense.
Well, possibly Kerry wrote nothing DURING the debate. If there is substance to this cheating speculation, then maybe he was faking writing on notes that he had pre-written himself.
Could this be WHY Bush was so disgusted?
To me, Bush looked disgusted and distracted. Maybe HE saw the cheat sheets.
Geek Alert. It's a white pocket protector with his pens, and whatever else, in it.
Message # 893 This probably wont get any play at all . If it does it will backfire making us look nuttier than the real NUTS out there voting for Kerry ..What's he gonna say if he's severly pressured , be real ? I had a pic of like that . So then what ?? Who's going to be able to PROVE anything ?
+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + ++ + + ++ + + ++
Well, Troll, how long do you think it will take to "out" you? That's about the length of time it will take for the public to realize that Kerry in fact did risk it all to prove he was smarter than the average Republican.
Snobs like Kerry think they can get away with anything.
But Kerry forgot one important thing: this is the USofA and not France. He is not a King. Heck, he's not even a decent Senator. He's not even a decent JUNIOR Senator.
You have a 'pic like that'? Of what? You saying you are a Republican when in fact you're a leftist Democrat? And you're a negatory troll. Take your trash elsewhere.
That's what I'm thinking. He could scribble on his pre-written notes, while reading them over to refresh his memory.
