Caught on Video: Kerry Cheated by Using Notes Cards in Debate
Sure, WE all know that, but a lot of people don't. There are still a lot of people that have little idea of what the Swift Boat Vets are all about and those issues clearly illustrate Kerry's character, so every chink we can add in the armor of his character the better off we are going to be. Bottom line, it goes to character...we are slowly painting a picture of him that he does not want the world to see.
I did the same thing and that was no pen. You must need glasses.
You really do not know what your talking about concerning JAMES BAKER.
Well I it does stand to reason that you would need them to write your own notes. It depends on how poor your vision is and upon how well you manage glasses. I am horrible at glasses management. I sometimes have them right at hand and still don't use them to read or write even when I can barely read what's in front of me. But yours is a very, very good point. So much so that I think we can just about rule out that he pulled out reading glasses.
So it seems we have something here. Now it's another thing entirely to expect the media to delve into this given that they have already had their say and may not want to step into the same stream twice. And given that they are jerks 90% of the time.
I completely disagree with you.
First, President Bush did better than you portray. I'm sure you're sincerely disappointed he did not say things in the way or manner you would like, but it is incorrect to say he left certain things unchallenged. I don't have time to go through the list, but right off the bat I can cite that during the debate he forcefully noted that under his administration there will be an all volunteer armed services.
He's personally refuted that, too.
Something else to consider that just dawned on me. DUH..Thursday night, as the debate was going on, the dust up in Samarra was just beginning and I am sure that was on his mind and he was impatient with having to be where he was, out of touch.
How many lies did we count that Kerry told? 17?
I am angry. I wanted Bush to knock Kerry out Thursday. Instead, he let him back in the game.
He was out in this terrible heat and carnage in Florida, and in hindsight he probably should have postponed his sympathy trips because he seemed like he was very dehydrated and very tired. Good reason to beat him up on all the threads because he thought he could do it all and did not accomplish this.
Probably postponed his trips? Obviously he should have postponed his trips. Had he gone on Friday, 24 hours later, nobody he visited would have minded.
Listen, lady. I've supported Bush much longer than you have, as he was my governor for six years. I love the man. I want him to be re-elected in the worst way.
But, the truth is the truth. I don't think he or his team took this debate very seriously, which is why he was out traipsing around instead of preparing. That was a colossal mistake.
Let's hope he does better on Friday.
Okay was the square thing his shirt cuff? Cause I can't really make out what you all are seeing. (I am NOT trying to defend Kerry, believe me.) It's just that if the few likely things it could be are ruled out then we have reason to hope people that have the power to nail the guy, like Rush or FOX will be more likely to give it some thought.
Look folks, Bush didn't lose because Kerry had a small pile of notes. He lost because he didn't make the better presentation.
This is misdirection - what do you get when you 'prove' Kerry had notes? Nothing - you look bad, and let Kerry get ahead.
Don't fall for this.
I pray you are right!
mc
Yes. I'm guessing that during a time of war and natural disasters, President Bush's mind wasn't only on the debate.
This is yet ANOTHER reason why I think it was all a plan to nuke Kerry at a later date, rather than on the first debate.
I mean, do you remember the first Bush/Gore debate? I don't, and I watched it with all the anticipation that I did last week's.
With all due respect, that's the dumbest thing I've read on this forum in a very long time.
I recall that Kerry gave very polished, noncommital answers to almost every question. The sum of nearly every answer he gave was: "As your President, I will spend more money on more things and do a better job spending it than the man currently in office. And as a matter of fact, I was in Vietnam, too."
So far, I haven't seen pics of the incriminating sheet, but FReepers are on record that night as saying he referred to something on his podium. Kerry comes across to me as the type who would cheat if he thought he could get away with it.
Let's hope Bush is not directing the actions on the battlefield (he's not). The last president to do that was LBJ in Vietnam, with disastrous consequences.
How so? How is it dumb to allow an opponent to assume a stance of victory due to false speculations of one's intelligence?
Bush has done this before, as did Reagan. It's commonly called a, "Rope-a-dope."
Anyone who follows politics knows that Bush has to do well enough that the day after the debate we don't have to put up with the expected media crap about how "the race is tightening." We already knew they were dying for Kerry to do better so that they could report that. If we know it, the Bush camp knows it and Bush knows it.
He could have and should have done better. There are no excuses. I love him, but on this he messed up.
We got Drudge to post and now it is being aired on Fox News.
