Newsweek is Evan Thomas. Evan Thomas has said that the media wants Kerry to win and that he thinks that will be worth 15 points for him. The LA Times has a history of being willing to sell its integrity to help Democrats. I understand; but have not personally read that Newsweek over sampled Democrats. This was a poll of "registered voters" only 750 of near 1400 of which watched the debate. The msm has given us its numbers, now here's some for them. All of the following are "effective numbers" (EN) meaning the current number has be combined with the "must get number" to arrive at a plus or minus for Kerry. Hispanics: In a recent poll taken in Colorado New Mexico Arizona and Nevada, Hispanics were favoring Kerry 56/36. Sound good? Well to win he needs at least 65%. (EN)is -9. Women: algore and clinton won by 11. W is + 3, EN is -14 Catholics:algore won by 3.W is up 55/38 +17 EN is - 20 Blacks: algore got 92 Gallup gives Kerry 60, Pew 73 See-BS 80 average 71, EN -21 ( They brought in Jesse on Tuesday because of the Pew numbers) The enthusiasm mumber shows Bush by 65/41. These are numbers that Kerry can't escape from. Nobody can spin himout of these numbers.

You want the Kerry bounce in perspective?
Kinda like the bounce a possum gets just after a visit by a Buick.
Looks impressive for a day or so, then it just stinks.
