There have been several "live threads" posted today regarding the debate starting early this morning. Let's make this the official thread.
FR Live Thread: Bush Kerry - First Debate - Thread 2 - Here we go!
Thank you for the David Gregory comments. Interesting.
Bumpty Bump!!! My life for you!!!
I think protests are a given.
Anyone watching this reporter from the LA Times on C-Span. I am certain he gets manicures. Regularly.
any word on pumpkinheads complexion tonight?
Actually, I'm going to want to really concentrate on what they are saying DURING THE DEBATE, so if it's OK with you I'm NOT going to POST any screen caps...I'll just save them and if they are any good I'll do them later....
Is that OK???
GeeeeeRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
It was very gratifying. It was a crappy set and Gore was going...Blah...Blah...I won the Popular Vote...Blah...Florida is mine...Blah...Blah.
No Fears, No Heartbreaking, No remorse.
I'll be very surprised if he brings up Vietnam, but I hope he does.
Annie, the draft issue is something that President Bush needs to address, and debunk, early and definitively.
I hate finger pointers reminds me of clintoon pointing his finger at us saying ... " I didn't not have sexual relations with that women.." total flash backs..hehe
Our house, too: his and hers laptops, the only way to go.
And to think I resisted learning to use a computer when Mr. Otta and I got married 17 years ago. Now I couldn't get through the day without one!
Have ever done public speaking? While terrifying to many, once you get the hang of it, it's no big deal.
Bush has had so much public speaking experience in big-time situations, starting with the 2000 debates, and of course the 9/11 speech, that by now it's old hat.
Look for him to come out completely relaxed and smiling, just like he looked at the convention. There's simply no way he's gonna get thrown off from his game; no matter what Kerry does or does not do, it will have no bearing on Bush.
That's the trick you learn as a public speaker: either you suck and you never do it again, or you have a certain knack and all you have to do is be yourself. At this point, Bush knows he can just casually be himself and win.
When you have that knowledge about yourself, it's actually a very fun experience - really like an engaging conversation. Before you know it, times up and everyone is smiling and yacking it up as they leave the conference hall.
My folks got rid of their 27 inch TV set recently because the red electron gun inside the tube crapped out, turning everything on the screen a shade of purple. Had I thought of it at the time, I would have had Dad and I shoot a couple rounds into the tube before rolling it down the landfill hill.
He'll bring up Viet Nam. It's like running home to mama for him.
"I'll be very surprised if he brings up Vietnam, but I hope he does."
John Kerry served in Vietnam?
Wonder how many manicures this faggot had when he was in Viet Nam, and Cambodia? Do y'all thank W has his nails trimmed by anyone other than himself? Libs should be ashamed of their hypocracy of a whore Senator Lurch and their liberal politics. They are so much at odds, they Kool Aid they drink has gone sour.
I predict this thread is going to move at about 90% the speed of an electron.
He wont but he will say Bush was AWOL.
Ah, a man and his priorities.
