Just as President Bush [related, bio] and Sen. John Kerry [related, bio] are preparing for tonights debate, so, too, are legions of others who are readying to provide a running commentary of the political duel on the Web. Bloggers are ready to offer a nearly instantaneous take on tonights proceedings. They are fast, opinionated and entertaining. Bloggers like The Indepundit - who will be live-blogging two events at once: the Presidential debate and the Navy/Air Force football game are ready to provide a less-than-traditional take on the political duel. Heres a list of blogs to watch during and after tonights debate: # Road to 1600: Dave Guarino
# Talking Points Memo
# AndrewSullivan.com
# Wonkette
# The Blogging of the President: 2004
# Daily Kos
# Poliblogger
# Citizen Smash The Indepundit

FR is NOT a "blog" and there are already far too many newbies here, who don't follow the rules.
I think I may start up my old freeper IRC channel to create just a little more inanity... ohhh maybe that is a BAD idea
LoL
Why would FR want to be on their list--isn't the whole point to be completely independent? Being on a list means that you are part of the MSM, or getting close!
Anyone clueless enough to depend on that list doesn't belong here. We have enough idiot trolls and opinionated newbies as it is. No offense.
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding!!!
Sorry, I do that when someone uses my nic in a sentence.
Carry on.
Exactly.
Thanks anyway; I'm actually a web developer by profession, so I don't need HTML help...the bold and underline tags were on purpose.
Oh, and thanks; I'm honored to be a member of FR!
Google is run by lefties.
Also required viewing for a newbie
Nobody that's been here any length of time cares about that. We've known about this place for years and we damn well don't need the MSM -- especially the liberal MSM -- to tell us we're wonderful.
A parallel example is "Why does Google News treat the Daily Kos as a news source and ignore requests to place Free Republic on their list?"
Who's asking for that?
See this thread:

Verrry clever Shryke. I like.
Well, it's offensive to me......LOL. I can hardly find the threads I'm interested in because I have to scroll past the streaming consciousness on the Latest Posts page.
FR has always had LIVE THREADS for debates, elections, important news/current events and believe me,all that traffic sloooooooooooooooooooooooooows FR down to point where it makes life dreadful for old timers and newbies alike. We don't need any more PR!
Heh. I just referred yet another guy who's here to tell us how we should do it to your thread!
Great analogy.:-)
But conservatives who don't know about FR will see this list and not know that there's a whole society dedicated to conservatism, that society being FR.
