"Bloggers eye debate" -- Where's Free Republic?

John Kerry [related, bio] are preparing for tonight’s debate, so, too, are legions of others who are readying to provide a running commentary of the political duel on the Web. Bloggers are ready to offer a nearly instantaneous take on tonight’s proceedings. They are fast, opinionated and entertaining. Bloggers like The Indepundit - who will be live-blogging two events at once: the Presidential debate and the Navy/Air Force football game – are ready to provide a less-than-traditional take on the political duel. Kind of why, in the NY Times political blog article, Wonkette, Daily Kos, and Josh Marshall are mentioned very commonly while conservative blogs get almost no mention at all.

It's true that, by definition, FreeRepublic is not a blog. But it's as important a news source as any, and if the Boston Herald chooses to count the other liberal blogs as news sources, they should darn well count FreeRepublic too.

Please read post #9 if you intend to point out that technically FR is not a blog. The Boston Herald seems to be counting these blogs as news sources rather than blogs, which is why I think FR should be mentioned.
