Nethercutt is airing a tough new campaign ad that features one of Patty Murray's most appalling quotes: "He's been out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day-care facilities, building health-care facilities, and the people are extremely grateful. He's made their lives better." Who was she talking about, Jimmy Carter? No, Osama bin Laden. If Murray loses, it may not be Kerry who brings her down.

Is Murray up this year? Does Nethercutt have a chance in the polls?
He was down by 9 last time I saw the polls. WA is a liberal state, although Nethercutt is supposed to be a good closer.
This is what I like to see. One of the essences of political debate is to take what somebody says or does and use it against them. The Washington Thinskins (Democrats) will whine and cry foul and say Murray's patriotism is being attacked but she said it and that's too bad. Why can't the GOP do this more often?

Not exactly. The West Coast part of the state is liberal. Here East of the Cascades is pretty conservative. Unfortunatley we don't have the population to overcome the West Side.

Well, I am glad to see they've pulled this our for Nethercutt's campaign. I was about to lose hope it would be used.
Buildihng "day care" facilities? In an Islamic country? I would rather doubt this quote of "Osama Mama."

Nethercutt has never,ever used negative ads so this year would be the first....
Murray has millions and has been running many tv ads already , sometimes two times in a half hour news show....
I don't know if George can win, but he did unseat the Honorable(?) Tom Foley who had been implanted here for some 30 yrs before he got his arse kicked.....

Believe it. She said it. A small newspaper printed the article and Lars Larson picked it up and talked about it on his radio program. Ticked a lot of us off, even here in Oregon. I have been hitting every post I see here on FR that mentions Osama and reminding folks about Osama Momma.
Real glad to see him using it in his ads.
