Message from human resources where I work about the son of a co-worker:
:I received a call from Neil this afternoon with an update on Kyle. It seems the aggressive treatment he received has not been successful.
The cancer has spread to Kyle's pelvic area, kidney, (he only has 1) and there are more tumors on his lungs. It has not spread to his brain. The Dr.'s informed Kyle the tumors were winning.
Kyle took the news in stride and optimistically told his Physician's he still will beat the cancer! His Dr.'s are looking for yet another experimental drug/procedure to do. He may be transferred to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee in the near future.
When I asked Neil how he and Kyle's mom are doing, he shared that they draw their strength from their brave son who does not let this get him down. Although Neil sounded worried and exhausted, he explained he can not envision life without his son, and will help Kyle fight this battle in every possible way he can.
He asked us to continue to keep Kyle in our thoughts and prayers……."

We come before You with both grief and hope in our hearts, lifting up our brother Kyle to our Loving Lord, knowing Your tender Love for him sweeps from one end of Eternity even unto Forever, O God Who cherishes His children. We plead, Merciful Master, that Your Omnipotent Hand would rest upon our brother in Healing and Restoration, and that You would surround him with Your Heavenly Peace and Comfort, and that Your Everlasting Love would undergird him in this battle against this disease. Grant unto Kyle all Resources needed from the WellSpring of Your Grace that never ceases to flow for Your beloved little ones. Strengthen him, O God, and bind him and his family to You with the cords of Your Eternal Love, securing them to You Forever through the Redemtion that is in Jesus Christ. We worship You, O God our Great King, and we entrust this situation into Your Powerful and Loving Hand. Uphold this entire family, our Blessed Savior, and we will give You the Glory, Honor and Praise, our Sweet King. In Your Holy Name we pray, amen.
Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that Kyle continues to know that his cancer can be turned aside, and we pray that You will reward his faith by restoring him to health, whether by the direct touch of Your healing hand, or with the newest treatments. Cause his beleagued parents to completely rest in Your care, for You know their pain and sorrow. If Your Word has not been firmly implanted in their hearts, and in the heart of their son, I pray You will bring the redeeming news of Jesus Christ, that no matter the time or circumstance of their leaving, eternal life is theirs. May it be thus, O God of Mercy, may it be thus, in the Name of Jesus, Amen ...
