The recent Pew Poll indicates John Kerry may have made a fatal mistake for his campaign when he boldly, yet foolishly attacked Iraq's Prime Minister. "The polling took place between 9/22 and 9/26, all of which came after Kerry supposedly launched his new Iraq policy (version 9.0). It looks like rather than reversing his slide, it may have accelerated it. Pew has a graph on their site which shows much more daylight between the two candidates than existed since the convention, and in fact may have reversed a mild recovery by the Democrats."

Ayad Allawi leads his country against terrorists who would surely destroy his life, yet John Kerry slaps him in the face, the one person we need as an ally. Instead of demonstrating the political savvy he needs to establish his coalition, Kerry makes it clear with his cold treatment 30 minutes after Allawi's gracious speech, that this partner in freedom is a fraud. How can anyone so seriously short-sighted have long-term plans for Iraq? He cannot. In fact, Kerry's ultimate flip flop indicates how unqualified he really is. Kerry possesses no vision for foreign policy and right now, that's a dangerous situation for Mr. Kerry and the United States.

I am very happy that Kerry's cowardly attack on Iyad Allawi (and Joe Lockhart's shameful disdain for courageous Allawi) has backfired. As we expected, Kerry's negatives have gone up putting him in a very uncomfortable corner. I hope that the debate this Thursday gives him the coup d'grace once and for all.

I think the "flip-flop" campaign is hitting home. Also, the undecided voters are going bush and MSM is making light of that; it's becoming a critical mass against Kerry.

A few days ago I wondered if Kerry's latest version was going to put some distance between him and Bush.Apparently it has...just not in the direction he was hoping for.

Yes, yes, we all have to work and vote, we all know that, but come ON folks, let's get real. Kerry's cooked--i mean, just look at his face.

Querry and his lib advisors couldn't help themselves--when a republican says "white" their knee-jerk reaction is to say "black" because everyone knows conservatives are always wrong. It's the reasoning behind Bush's successful rope-a-doping these past 4 years.

At just the right moment Bush needs to pick up that issue and figurativel walk over to Kerry and bitch slap him with it. If Bush says something along the lines of "Allawi is under 24 hour threats of death for leading his country when others were too frightened, and you dared to call him a puppet," it will put Kerry so far on the defensive he will never recover.

Kerry's fatal mistake was committing treason and betraying every soldier who served in Vietnam. All the rest is a continuation of his treasonous, selfish ways. All attacking Allawi did was convince people he hasn't changed a bit in 33 years.

Kerry's main problem is that he is such an insufferable buffoon that even the waning power of the old media can't save his cardboard ass like they did for BJ Clinton. Aside from vote fraud. These jokers aren't even in the game anymore.

Wasn't it the Pew poll that had Bush and Kerry practically in a tie last week?

Yes, this reflects my gut reaction when I saw Kerry go down that road. Desperation can make a person do crazy things. That plus being impulsive is not a good combo for a Presidential candidate.

For Americans with a brain...Kerry's fatal "mistake" is when he sided with the Communists during the war in Vietnam..

He then continued to side with the communists in EVERY confrontation, and voted at every opportunity to diminsh or weaken America's military...

The bastard is CLEARLY a lying traitor and should have been shot for that crime, long ago...

It is unbelievable that he ever survived, and was STILL elected to public office in Massatwoshits.

But didn't Biden say that Kerry didn't attack Allawi? (end/sarcasm)

Sorry Joe, the country heard it and it was an attack.

Yesterday on Hannity and Colmes, Dick Morris (Yeah... I know...) said some things about the Kerry campaign that really made sense. He said that going after Bush on Iraq at all was the fatal mistake.

They were looking at the internals of the latest polls. Bush was creaming Kerry on foreign policy, but still trailing on a lot of domestic issues. (Though Bush is improving in these areas.) Rather than emphasizing his own strengths in the domestic area, Kerry has charged headlong into the one area where Bush is at his strongest: Foreign policy.

On some of the internals Kerry still had an edge on domestic issues. Colmes kept pointing to those internals and general dissatisfaction with the progress of the war as evidence of Kerry's strength as a candidate. Morris began to look quite exasperated as he tried over and over to point out that Kerry may have an advantage on domestic issues "...but that's not what he's talking about." Day after day, Kerry goes back to Iraq and hands the discussion back to Bush.

The mistake is further compounded by his acceptance of the segmented debate formula. The first night is supposed to be nothing but foreign policy. If the debate were on any and all subjects, he could get away from pesky foreign policy questions by drifting off into education or health care. Instead, the format forces him to stay on topic or look ridiculous. Making things worse, Morris points out that he can't take any firm position on Iraq without alienating at least a third of his base. He's painted himself into a corner on Iraq.

Can you imagine if heaven forbid the ORANGEMAN gets elected and ends up having to meet with Allawi in Iraq. Allawi might have him dismembered! No way the ORANGEMAN has the guts to show his face to Allawi. How can he possibly be President?
