Obama is spending very little time in IL. He's running from all but two debates. He has not been able to drive a message. He spent all his money building name ID, and now he and his cohorts think it's over.
The Dems are complacent.
Let's take advantage of that.
Just don't tell 'em...shhhhhh....
;-)
I'm confused. The poll about Alan Keyes being down by 51 points that everyone is taking so seriously was done by the Chicago Tribune. Right? Now, isn't that the same paper that came out and officially endorsed Obama last spring? If that's the case, how can this be a fair poll? Who did they poll? Democrats? Obama supporters? Have they released the information about who they polled?
I posted a link to an online poll last night that showed Alan Keyes leading, as he has been on other online polls. So, who's poll is the most accurate?
Why do we have to take a poll to see which way the wind is blowing in order to know who to vote for?
Only if they're giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
You mean like his position on tariffs?
Sorry EV, I simply do not share your adulation for Mr. Keyes. From my perspective, it is you who lacks objectivity.
How about his positions on fundamental tax reform? His solidly pro-business stance? His history as a governmental reformer? Spending? Regulation? Etc., etc. etc....?
Come on. His ecconomic and governmental positions are straight up the middle solid. Very solid.
Just because he believes that true free trade must be fair trade doesn't make him some kind of economic heretic. In fact, the vast majority of Republicans and shoot, just plain Americans, agree with him heartily on that score.
You're being disingenuous on this question.
Is that the best you could do?
Weak. Real weak.
Or is it that you just can't stand his social conservatism?
We already have a very Keyesian foreign policy, thank God.
If we were blessed to have a Keyesian economic policy, which the President seems to be steering towards more and more, by the way, we would have a future of freedom and growth and prosperity ahead for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren that would be beyond most people's wildest dreams.
What can we do that don't live there? Freepmail or just tell me.
You're kidding, right?
Apparently, asking Keyes to publicly commit to staying in Illinois after the election constitutes "giving aid and comfort to the enemy".
Nope
It is, because it is a 'gotcha' question intended for the purpose of tearing down Keyes, which is exactly what you are doing.
If you're not working for Obama, you're doing a good imitation of it.
You've got FReepmail! :-)
Keyesian? LOL
No, my disagreements are more about tactics than issues. I think the manner in which he is running his campaign is damaging to Republicans.
Yes, Keyesian.
You do realize that Alan Keyes has been at the center of the intellectual policy debate in this country for many years now, right?
And his principles and ideas are those of the vast majority of Republicans these days; with a few minor exceptions.
No one is perfect.
I'm a Keyesian Conservative! LOL
Thanks rather ironic, when it is you who is attacking our Republican candidate five weeks out from a general election.
Ok, truth be told, being that he is Catholic and from my Catholic roots, I think he is the reincarnation of Abraham Linclon. It all makes sense now.
Sign me up, sir!
That is George Bush's foreign policy; Keyes may agree with him, but it's not his.
BLASPHEMY!
Online polls are meaningless. They are self-selective (people choose to vote on them) and easily manipulated (people can vote repeatedly). They bear little or no resemblance to reality.
Which government departments has he been associated with? Which departments that FORUMALTE policy?
