G.W. Bush's opponents claim that he has been an incompetent leader and decision maker concerning the security of America and America's role in the world. One of the recent reasons they use to back up their thinking is that "Iraq has become a hot bed for terrorist activity." They claim our continued presence there escalates the conflict and validates the hatred of the militant muslims. I say, Wow! What a great strategy. When you want to catch flies, use fly paper. "Swatting at flies" never really solved anything. If the Iraq conflict is drawing foreign terror groups to join in the fight, a great part of our job is done. That means we will need less effort in seeking them out. And what a better place to create a vacuum that sucks in the enemy, on the other side of the world and not on our home soil.
This is exactly how I feel about Iraq. Bush is crazy - like a fox. He's created a legitimate shooting gallery and the terrorists have obliged by pouring in. The more the media and left wing criticize our efforts, the more incentive our enemies have to travel to Iraq - and get killed. It is so beautiful. I havn't heard any statistics, but I bet the body count is significant and goes a long way towards avenging those murdered on 911 as well as making the world safer.
Last night on fox, perhaps on H&C some dim dem was at first arguing that Bush squandered the oppotunity to track down terrorists by attacking Iraq. No more than a minute later he was saying that things in Iraq were horrible because terrorists were flooding in. These people are hopelessly illogical.
Why does anyone think it is a good idea to train these moon-god worshipping lunatics? Look, the reason that we - and the Israelis - have had a relatively easy time dealing with Arabs on a military level is because they just aren't very good at it. They suck. Just listen to our own troops talk about what crappy shots most of the Iraqis are. The fact that these guys are not very skilled has saved a lot of American lives over there, because if they had some skill to combine with their disregard for their own safety they could be very dangerous in a combat situation. While there may be some "good" Iraqis who appreciate their newfound freedom, let's face it - the country is dominated by folks who want all life activities to be governed by the words of the Koran. Do we really want a couple hundred thousand jihadis with the latest in American military training running around in Iraq? Or anywhere else in the ME, for that matter?
They'll pose about as much threat to the world as the ARVN did.

For your info, the U.S has been training allied military personnel for decades, whether they be arab egyptians, or previously Iranians etc. hell even the Germans.
There are many positives in doing so, teach modern warfare as well as modern war ethics and law. Tactics and international cooperation. Plus these folks can't help but be affected by their experience here as opposed to say craphole guatemala.

No, but we have well over 150,000 foreign troops here at military installations at any time.
I was shocked when at Ft. Gordon Ga. for communications school there were many many troops from all over the place.
To me the biggest suprise was all the folks from mid east countries.
And this was just the one base.
Also while at the pentagon there were a lot of foreign folks too.
the difference is that we are trainign a democratic and free country now

GW's tactics have created a "hotbed" of terrorism in Iraq. Terrorist networks are routing their efforts and resources there to combat our troops. Our armed forces are engaged directly with the relentless enemy on foreign soil.
And only the rats could have a problem with this.
1. The terrorists are routing much of their resources to Iraq, not the USA. While there is obviously still major activity here, their efforts are diminished.
2. The terrorists are on foreign soil engaged in combat where they will be killed. Not prosecuted, not sued, not jailed, not mourned over by the likes of the Democrat liberals, ACLU, CAIR, US trial lawyers, Guantanamo haters and other pathetic sniveling enemy toe-lickers...KILLED FOR GOOD. This alone must have the rats in a frenzy. Their heroes are getting wasted left and left.
3. Our troops are engaging these fiends, Not our mothers, wives, children and elderly. The finest troops in the world are systematically snuffing these fiends one by one.
Now really, who can argue against this? If you do, it suggests you'd rather have the hun at your front door than killing them in their hole before they get out. There is no winning counter to this arguement. You either want to win or surrender and worse.
Bush has drawn a line in the sand (pun intended). Something that a Democrat is unlikely to do. Our enemy does not wear uniforms that we can identify from a distance. We must make them fight by our terms. We will win many more battles if we keep Bush in the White House. Yet sadly, no mortal will ever be able to end this war.
