HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is coming to Connecticut to throw her support behind Fourth Congressional District candidate Diane Farrell.
Clinton will attend an Oct. 3 reception in Westport for Farrell. Tickets are going for $125 apiece.
The fund-raiser is a part of the campaign's Women for Farrell initiative. Former Texas Governor Ann Richards is scheduled to attend an Oct. 15 reception for Farrell at a private home in Stamford.
Farrell is the first selectman of Westport. Her challenge is considered the toughest Republican Christopher Shays has faced in his 17 years in office. National Democrats have targeted Shays as being vulnerable in the election.
Farrell has raised more than $1 million. Shays had raised $1 million as of June 30.
But why oh why isn't Hillary campaigning for the Orange Man?
Has anyone seen Lieberman lately...
You beat me to it. Why hasn't she been on the stump (no pun intended). She is The Dims most popular person on the face of the earth. Anyone care to guess why she is "absent"?
Shrillary and Ann Richards? They are rolling out the heavy hitters - literally in Hillary's case! Too bad the Democratic Party has been made obsolete by history.
Best way to polish your image is to stay out of the limelight.
Look for the piggy one to comeout strong in 2007.
I live right near Westport. My inlaws live there. I cant see Farrell beating Shays, but you never know. He is certainly the lesser of two evils.
At least, I thik he still does. Haven't seen hide nor (lustrous) hair of Edwards anywhere lately.
BECAUSE KERRY IS LOOKING LIKE BURNT TOAST....LITERALLY.

Especially the second time, when Dubya beat her !!
Ol' prune face made that statement about Bush 41 at the Dem convention in l988.
Ol' prune face made that statement about Bush 41 at the Dem convention in l988.The quote itself says Annie was "mocking her opponent as an idiot son of privilege." Sounds more like Ann Richards vs. George W. Bush in 1994 to me.
