Wasn't there a "Scott Camille" witness at the Winter Soldier Investigation? Same guy as this Scott Camil who proposed the assassination plan? Yes, Scott Camil made some of the most gruesome atrocity claims at WSI, and, interestingly enough, just filed an affidavit in Florida about some of his VVAW activities.
See What's New? at WinterSoldier.com for details.

"But according to the current head of Missouri Veterans for Kerry, Randy Barnes, Mr. Kerry, who was then 27,was at the meeting, voted against the plot, and then orally resigned from the organization. "
Wonder if the Randy Barnes of KCMO, is related to the famous Barnes of Texas???

"Kerry had said he broke ties with the group and was later arrested with them if I remember correctly." If true then that's obviously pretty incriminating.

Thanks for the confirmation.
I tried the link to "What's New?", but it didn't work for me.
Then I went to wintersoldier.com and tried the link to "What's New?" from there and it didn't work either. Other links worked just fine.
I get a "heading" with wintersoldier.com and the date, but no "What's New?", no text below the heading, and no scroll bar on the right.
Netscape 4.7 here, if that helps...

Thanks for the confirmation of WSI Camille = Scott Camil.

Great debate question for Pres. Bush to ask Kerry: Sen. Kerry, was Sen. Stennis on the list of senators to be assasinated by your group, VVAW? If there were only any way for anyone to ask Senator Kerry this question on camera.

Here is a picture from Memorial Day antiwar demonstration at Lexington, Mass. Let me see what else I can find out about it.

The arrest was in 1971 prior to his resignation from VVAW. Glad I checked that out because someone had told me otherwise. :) But the picture is good, huh???

Thank you. I knew we had that photo floating around here. I knew that the caption states that Kerry was still a leader or spokesman of VVAW in 1973.

Except of course the Swiftees have put this lie to rest..John barfin Kerry was at THE meeting and remained in contact with Hubbard for a long time...PLUS there is NO evidence that he ever resigned ( no letter or other document...hey maybe they can Bill Burkett to fix one up for them)

Kerry thought that the seed of thought was planted so he could exit the group with safety, and someone else would do the dirty work.

Myself, I will be very sceptical of this unless someone comes forward with proof that Kerry stayed on after those assasination meetings. Lack of an official "resignation letter" to me isn't all that important unless it was the custom in that group to resign in writing. To me it seems entirely plausible that someone would verbally announce departure. Of course I don't know all the details but I'm sure I'll learn a lot more about this in days to come. But on first blush it seems like an explosive theory that could make us look like the democrat "conspiracy theorists" - I think we're doing well enough as it is that this sort of thing, unless it's rock solid, could backfire negatively. Proceed with caution.
As is covered in this thread there is ample proof that Kerry stayed on after the November 1971 meeting. But one must take the time to research the proof.
This is very well documented that he did not leave the VVAW, there are many news stories afterward where he is mentioned as the speaker at an antiwar rally and as a national leader of the VVAW. And the FBI documents have several sources that report the same thing. It just requires one to see the truth. No need to be careful, the proof is overwealming.
