I just got back from a trout fishing trip with some friends. Somehow Kerry came up, and I mentioned the fact that the War Remnants Museum in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City has a photograph of John Kerry honoring him as a NORTH Vietnam war hero, and that this made Mr. Kerry a traitor to his country.
A friend of a friend who was fishing with us WENT OUT OF HIS MIND. He said it was a lie, and the the Bushes were this and that and the other thing. I offered to give him my copy of "Unfit for Command" and he said there was nothing but lies in it, even though he has never seen it.
It was pretty incredible. There are some deeply disturbed Liberals out there right now, and like all people who wear "peace" on their sleeves like "the religion of peace," I fear violence when John Kerry suffers a humiliating defeat this November.
If it's not close, they can't cheat, but I am betting that soon you won't be able to tell the difference between a Liberal and an Islamofascist.
Sorry for the vanity, but this encounter really bothered me.

I too have seen some of these total nutso demoweenies go over the cliff the moment I mention something about Kerry.
I asked a guy at work a few days ago if he was still voting for Kerry, he's an "Anybody but Bush" guy...he was unable to respond in any coherant manner and stuttered.."has Bush shown up for his physical yet?"
The intellectual dishonesty of these LOSERS is pathetic. They have nominated a toadal ASS KLOWN as their candidate and now they are finding out how bad horseface really is. They all have stuned beebers and moose-bitten sisters with no base belonging to them anymore.

Election-wise, you're right. But controversy-wise, Joe McCarthy, especially considering contemporaneous media, may have been worse. My father decked another lawyer (who happened to be the father of one of my best friends) and came very close to doing the same to a neighbor (no, my father didn't through the first punch either time); my 7th-grade nun failed me (and two others) on an essay about the Army-McCarthy hearings (on "content"). But the Long Island (NY) Conservative Party (backing one Thomas Shea) was formed as a result.
It's grand theft of the minds of HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS, the weak, the defenseless, the vulerable ... I hope that Justice may be had in our times on this. May we here continue to be blessed to play a good part in that straightening of the bent.

I ran into similar types at a MMM march a few years ago. I went with a group of gun owners to ‘counter-demonstrate’ the demonstration. A dozen or so police officers stood by to make sure things stayed peaceful. As the march went by, two or three marchers broke out of the mass and approached us. We stood there with our signs and kept our mouths shut while those cretins screamed at us, shook their fists at us and finally, had the police shoo them along when they tried to spit on us. Peace loving? Hah!
If I were a meaner person, I would entertain myself for hours by imaginging how much people like this are going to suffer on November 2nd, and for the next four years....but of course I would never laugh at their expense. Never.
Hate to bring this up, but you're going to need new fishing buddies...
I'm evil enough. I expect to camp out over at DUh for a a few months after the election and watch them collectively self-destruct.
I read somewhere that" harboring resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die" I honestly believe that some liberals have reached toxic levels.
They really go nuts when you tell them that the war in Iraq is protecting Americans at home. They, in essence, say GWB isn't smart enough to hatch a plan like that because he never gave that reason before attacking Iraq.
Do these people play poker? We ought to invite them all to a tournament. They're idiots, we'll call it the Poker Players for Peace Tournament and watch them come running.

P.S. I support Bush..the Dems have fallen into the abyss, and are now at freefall.
