Do we REALLY want to discuss this? I have little doubt that these pages are bookmarked by most terrorists with a computer.

If the info is spread, then the guys we release will simply be shot by the Taliban upon return. Either way, its a win-win. Its like when Mob figures were nailed and later released with charges dropped. Once out on the street, the inference to the bosses was that the guy rolled over and cut a deal. He was immediately smimmin' with the fishes with a pair of concrete shoes.

I suppose so. There could be psychological advantages to causing the terrorist leaders to question the loyalty of their followers. Now you've got me questioning my own reasoning.

As a young boy, I have fond memories living in GTMO, Cuba (1976-1979). The one that stands out the most was my participation in the USMC Devil Pups program. It was a very Spartan and 'uncontaminated by Liberals' Summer program meant to 'toughen' up young boys 9-12. Though I would not go on and become a Marine as an adult, my heart and thanks lie with the Marines and Armed Forces who have arranged Ghaffar's meeting with Allah.
Is someone monitoring mainstream to see if they report this story? Maybe Dan the Man?

They are bowing to political pressure and letting those jerks out early. One thing for sure, we sure won't have to feed him ever.

The governor said Ghaffar had been a senior Taliban commander in northern Afghanistan and was arrested about two months after the U.S.-led coalition drove the militia out of power in late 2001. He spent eight months at the U.S. detention facility in Guantanamo Bay before he was returned to Afghanistan.

Khan said that after release, Ghaffar was appointed as the leader of Taliban fighters in Uruzgan, a rugged region believed to be a stronghold of the hardline Islamic militia.

Another one of those innocents who was released after being detained without cause in Gitmo that NPR keeps talking about?

Every liberal believes Ghaffar was rehabilitated at Gitmo, but I believe it is happening in hell.

The fact that this clown went from Gitmo to Afghanistan and ended up dead should tell you that somebody is doing something right, but too much discussion could kill the golden goose.

..agree, tag 'em. they'll work as a BUGLIGHT. :)

You can anticipate that they will all go home to participate in this kind of mischief immediately after Kerry is inaugurated.
