Subject: Are American Arabs loyal? By American Airlines Pilot - Captain John Maniscalco

"I've been trying to say this since 9-11 but you worry me. I wish you didn't. I wish when I walked down the streets of this country that I love, that your color and culture still blended with the beautiful human landscape we enjoy in this country.

But you don't blend in anymore. I notice you, and it worries me. I notice you because I can't help it anymore. People from your homelands, professing to be Muslims, have been attacking and killing my fellow citizens and our friends for more than 20 years now. I don't fully understand their grievances and hate but I know that nothing can justify the inhumanity of their attacks.

On September 11, nineteen ARAB-MUSLIMS hijacked four jetliners in my country. They cut the throats of women in front of children and brutally stabbed to death others. They took control of those planes and crashed them into buildings killing thousands of proud fathers, loving sons, wise grandparents, elegant daughters, best friends, favorite coaches, fearless public servants, and children's mothers.

The Palestinians Celebrated, The Iraqis were overjoyed as was most of the Arab world. So I notice you now. I don't want to be worried. I don't want to be consumed by the same rage and hate and prejudice that has destroyed the soul of these terrorists. But I need your help.

As a rational American, trying to protect my country and family in an irrational and unsafe world, I must know how to tell the difference between you, and the Arab/Musli terrorist.

How do I differentiate between the true Arab/Muslim-Americans and the Arab/Muslims in our communities who are attending our schools, enjoying our parks, and living in OUR communities under the protection of OUR constitution, while they plot the next attack that will slaughter same goo neighbors and children?

The events of September 11th changed the answer. It is not my responsibility to determine which of you embraces our great country, with ALL of its religions, with ALL of its different citizens, with all of its faults. It is time for every Arab/Muslim in this country to determine it for me.

I want to know, I demand to know, and I have a right to know whether or not you love America. Do you pledge allegiance to its flag? Do you proudly display in front of your house, or on your car? Do you pray in your many daily prayers that Allah will bless this nation, that He will protect and prosper it? Or do you pray that Allah with destroy it in one of your "Jihads"?

Are you thankful for the freedom that only this nation affords? A freedom that was paid for by the blood of hundreds of thousands of patriots who gave their lives for this country? Are you willing to preserve this freedom by paying the ultimate sacrifice? Do you love America? If this is your commitment, then I need YOU to start letting ME know about it.

Your Muslim leaders in this nation should be flooding the media at this time with hard facts on your faith, and what hard actions you are taking as a community and as a religion to protect the United States of America.

Please, no more benign overtures of regret for the death of the innocent because I worry about who you regard as innocent. No more benign overtures of condemnation for the unprovoked attacks because I worry about what is unprovoked to you. I am not interested in any more sympathy...I am only interested in action. What will you do for America - our great country at this time of crisis, at this time of war?

I want to see Arab-Muslims waving the AMERICAN flag in the streets. I want to hear you chanting "Allah Bless America". I want to see young Arab/Muslim men enlisting in the military. I want to see a commitment of money, time, and emotion to the victims of this butchering and to this nation as a whole.

The FBI has a list of over 400 people they want to talk to regarding the WTC attack. Many of these people live and socialize in Muslim communities. You know them. You know where they are. Hand them over to us, now! But I have seen little even approaching this sort of action.

Instead I have seen an already closed and secretive community close even tighter. You have disappeared from the streets. You have posted armed security guards at your facilities. You have threatened lawsuits. You have screamed for protection from reprisals.

The very few Arab/Muslim representatives that HAVE appeared in the media were defensive and equivocating. They seemed more concerned with making sure that the United States proves who was responsible before taking action. They seemed more concerned with protecting their fellow Muslims from violence directed towards them in the United States and abroad than they did with supporting our country and denouncing "leaders" like Khadafi, Hussein, Farrakhan, and Arafat.

If the true teachings of Islam proclaim tolerance and peace and love for all people then I want chapter and verse from the Koran and statements from popular Muslim leaders to back it up.

What good is it if the teachings in the Koran are good and pure and true when your "leaders" are teaching fanatical interpretations, terrorism, and intolerance?

It matters little how good Islam SHOULD BE if large numbers of the world's Muslims interpret the teachings of Mohammed incorrectly and adhere to a degenerative form of the religion.

A form that has been demonstrated to us over and over again. A form whose structure is built upon a foundation of violence, death, and suicide. A form whose members are recruited from the prisons around the world. A form whose members (some as young as five years old) are seen day after day, week in and week out, year after year, marching in the streets around the world, burning effigies of our presidents, burning the American flag, shooting weapons into the air. A form whose members convert from a peaceful religion, only to take up arms against the great United States of America, the country of their birth. A form whose rules are so twisted, that their traveling members refuse to show their faces at airport security checkpoints, in the name of Islam.

Do you and your fellow Muslims hate us because our women proudly show their faces in public rather than cover up like a shameful whore? Do you and your fellow Muslims hate us because we drink wine with dinner, or celebrate Christmas? Do you and you fellow Muslims hate us because we have befriended Israel, the ONLY civilized democratic nation in the entire Middle East?

And if you and your fellow Muslims hate us, then why in the world are you even here? Are you here to take our money? Are you here to undermine our peace and stability? Are you here to destroy us?

If so, I want you to leave. I want you to go back to your desert sandpit where women are treated like rats and dogs. I want you to take your religion, your friends, and your family back to your Islamic extremists, and STAY THERE!

> We will NEVER give in to your influence, your retarded mentality, your twisted, violent, intolerant religion. We will NEVER allow the attacks of September 11, or any others for that matter, to take away that which is so precious to us:

Our rights under the greatest constitution in the world.

I want to know where every Arab/ Muslim in this country stands and I think it is my right and the right of every true citizen of this country to demand it. A right paid for by the blood of thousands of my brothers and sisters who died protecting the very constitution that is protecting you and your family.

I am pleading with you to let me know. I want you here as my brother, my neighbor, my friend, as a fellow American. But there can be no gray areas or ambivalence regarding your allegiance and it is up to YOU, to show ME, where YOU stand." "Until then ... you worry me" ""

This good man, the pilot, is asking for things of which Muhammadans are not capable of giving while they are Under the Influence of satan's favorite Death Cult...

Thanks for pointing this out, There is indeed a movement among the left to attempt to equate Christian opposition to abortion, for example, to jihadism.

In fact, the term "Islamic fundamentalism" is a creation of the MSM specifically designed for this purpose, They took a term specific to Christianity - fundamentalism (which comes from a pamphlet published ca. 1915 entitled "The Fundamentals") and transposed it onto another religion, Islam.

Allawi, the President of Iraq who daily risks his life for your comfortable lifestyle, is a Muslim. The President of Afghanistan, who fights the Taliban and Al Qaeda so you won't have to, is a Muslim.

>>>

Oh, come on. These guys aren't Mein Koraniac Muhammadans and you know it...those types are murdered in their sleep by Moo adherents. I would have NEVER put Islam into a Constitution I was rebuilding, even if every single one of the constituents were a Moo. America's leadership still hasn't identified the root-problem (Muhammadanism itself and it's adherents to Mein Koran) and therefore can not provide the lasting solution, IMO.

The fact that our weapons are light-years ahead of theirs is just too bad.

The Arabs weapon is oil. Just like Marxico. Just like Russia. American's are addicted junkies on oil.

All of our weapons are useless unless a leader uses them.

"NO. If they were loyal they would not be planning to vote for John Fonda Kerry"

I simply said that most U.S. Arabs are not loyal to Islam -- because they are Christians.

Now, the loyalties of Democratic Christians in general is another matter. I never spoke to that question.

Obviously all the Episcopalians and Methodists and Arab-American Maronite Christians who support Kerry should have their heads (and their loyalties) examined.

But that doesn't make them loyal to Islam necessarily.

This question troubles many people. It should have read "Are American Muslims Loyal to America"?

There are American muslims who are loyal and would never have any part in terror against this nation and it's people. However it is also clear that there are muslims in this country who are not loyal to this country and support jihad and terror against the people of this country.

So it is a very real question to many people!
Are we safe? No!
Are there muslims living and visiting here who want to kill in the name of alah? Yes!
AND if, so many muslim Americans are loyal to the US and in no way support terror, why are they so silent against the muslim terror that is killing and plotting to kill people all over the world? They should be in the forefront of speaking out and acting against Islamic terror!

We do have a right to know what side all Americans are on, this is a time of war and we have been attacked from within.

Yes many of us question muslims and question Islam, because all we know of both is violence and death!

If your arguement is that the US or western society has brought this upon themselves, save it, we are not interested in excuses for terror and those who in the name of Islam butcher those who do not and will never follow alah.

Now you and your family sound like fine Americans, but I ask why did you not express any anger or words of opposition to the terrorists, and only expressed those feelings to the poster of this thread and his opinion?
This is what we want to here from muslims, from Arabs....it is not that you are in military or are a Republican, but that you will stand up and speak and act against these terrorists who are all muslim and many who are Arab.

Most of the Arabs down in Bay Ridge (the largest Arab community in NYC) are now Muslims from Lebanon, Egypt and Yemen.

The Christian Arabs who came here from the 1880s-1970s were largely good people. Too many folks confuse Arab (an ethnicity) with Islam (a religion). That being said, the MUSLIM Arabs who lived in my former community in Brooklyn were not the nicest people in the world and refused to show up for independence day celebrations. Their male children embraced "ghetto" NYC public school culture while their daughters were "protected."

Christians of Arab ancestry include such great people as Joseph Farah, Danny Thomas abd General Abizaid, among others. The new wave of MUSLIM immigrants is another story.

People did not come here to become Americans. My great-grandparents remained in their ethnic ghettos without assimilating, although they had no hostility to the majority culture. It took World War II to assimilate the children of Southern and Eastern European immigrants.

The concept of the "melting pot" is actually an invention of the 1920s. I do agree that the emphasis on muliculturalism and the glorification of ghetto culture has been highly damaging to the United States.

Interesting post massadvj. I hope you're right. All the muslim celebration on our college campuses following 911 did not inspire a lot of confidence however. Those that are here to cause problems need to be rooted out and dealt with. "Phoney" muslim schools and clerics that are indoctinating children to believe in jihad must be identified and rooted out. The "loyal" muslim community can be very helpful in this regard if willing to help. Time will tell.

I don't think it's a matter of ethnicity trumping Christianity when Arab Christians have Baathist sympathies. The Baath movement was a secularist Arab nationalist movement whose founders included a fair number of Christians. One of many perverse facts about the Middle East is that despite their brutality, support for terrorism, pursuit of WMD's, the two Baathist regimes--Iraq under Saddam Hussein, and Syria under the Assad family--were probably the most Christian-friendly places in the Middle East (with the obvious exception of Lebanon, the only majority Muslim county in the world where religious conversions in all directions are protected by law, though that exclusion applies only in areas where the Lebanese government's writ runs).

The biggest downside to the American liberation of Iraq is that the Christian populace will probably all have to choose between martyrdom and relocation to Chicago. (I pick Chicago because the Nestorian patriarch has had his seat there for years.) It's looking out for the interests of their coreligionists back in the Old Country that make Arab Christians wary of American intervention, not siding with their persecutors, nor disloyalty to the U.S.

sad to say, what the writer pleads for will not happen. "Because of your openness we will invade you; because of our faith we will conquer you" - that is the mantra of the vast majority of arab-muslims in this country.

As for the so-called silent ones who act as the writer accurately describes above in a way that is always a non-condemnation of the vile scum who commit these crimes... they are even worse than the terrorists, imo. In their silence before the slaughter of innocents, there is the quiet desire to see America fail. They are cowards and hypocrites; smiling with us or tsk-tsking when another halal video is trumpetted on al-jazeera... and for every attack, they secretly rejoice in the privacy of their homes and mosques.

It is war, my friend... a strange one with no frontlines, save for the battlelines drawn in our souls, the place where the truth of a man, be it a freedom-loving patriot or cowardly traitor, is not easily discovered to the world unless he demonstrates (or betrays, in the latter case...) it in word and deed.

Proof please.

Do you ever meet someone for the first time and ask him his name? If he tells you his name is Idiot M. Child do you ask him for proof? Why not?

If Muslims themselves, their idiot holy book and their Hadith and thousands of Mullahs worldwide tell you the same thing, would you ask them for proof?

All muslims strive to read the quran in the original arabic. That is a special achievement for them. It is required of them. The quran doesn not allow for "countries" as we conceive them. For them, the entire world is divided into two, and only two parts: dar al Harb, and dar al Islam. Indeed until the 20th century, there was no word in arabic for "country". This fact alone would constitute "proof" of your idiot question. But let us continue...

The obligation of all muslims is loyalty to allah (sbuh)and mohammed. Any deviation is punishable by death.

dar al islam is the world that is already muslim. Dar al Harb, the entire remainder of the world not yet muslim is not yet "enlightened", and it is the obligation of every muslim to make sure that the "infidels" become "enlightened" by any means necessary. The sword on the saudi flag is not an accident.

Theoretically, no true muslim can ever owe allegiance to any country, since their comic book defines that as a non concept, and no human being is authorized to change what the comic book says.

Q.E.D.

How many times do we have to go through this crap?

I have to add your justification of their inaction, or limited action has upset me to a certain degree.

I think when this is over and the US government can reveal the extent to which they were helped by American Muslims in uncovering terrorist cells, people will be very surprised. An imam who goes public with condemnation of terrorism is not likely to be regarded by the enemy as a safe person to confide in.

Literally thousands of suspected terrorists have been apprehended, questioned and deported since 9-11. How do you suppose the government found these people. Luck? Obviously, they are being helped by people on the inside, and we ought to be encouraging that help in every way we can instead of spewing hatred toward them.

Again, please name one domestic terrorist event in this country that was perpetrated by a domestic American Arab Muslim. It hasn't happened because people like their freedom and their right to worship as they please, and for the most part that is what they want for their own homelands as well.

Are Arab American's loyal?

Are Jewish American's loyal?

Were Japanese American's loyal in 1941?

Were German American's loyal?

clearly wrong question.

Were NAZI American's loyal in 1941? NOPE!

Are Islamic American's loyal in 2004? That has yet to be determined.

The President of Afghanistan, who fights the Taliban and Al Qaeda so you won't have to, is a Muslim.

He fights to maintain a country that has at least a veneer of civilization for himself, you moron!
If they did not export terror, and the taliban mentality and destroy priceless art treasues I could care less whether they drink dirt and eat their children. And I would never feel a need to get within 10,000 miles of that hellhole.

And if he never allows al Qaeda to train, rest, regroup and plan from his country, he need not worry about the fact that actions have consequences, and he need not worry about a hellfire up his butt.
He risks all for himself and for his country.

First of all, welcome to Free Republic, although I fear your stay will not be a long one.

You just signed up today and you would presume to tell the owner of the site what to do?
Never mind that you insult the rest of us by claiming that we have been silent concerning the individual gruesome Muslim Mass Murdering incidents. Might it not be more adult to look around, get a feel for what reality is here before shooting off your mouth?
