I'm going to give you all the information I have and hopefully people here can narrow this down and verify it.
I was just listening to the Chris Baker show on 950 KPRC and a woman called in response to another caller who implied George Bush wasn't being honest with people about his record.
Her response was that it's John Kerry who's trying to mislead people, because he's running an ad in battleground states featuring a man who claims he voted for George Bush in 2000 but will be voting for John Kerry this year.
The host asked her why she considered that misleading.
Her answer?
The man in the commerical is a MEMBER OF HER FAMILY and is actually a CONVICTED FELON and who was INELIGIBLE to vote in 2000 and will STILL BE INELIGIBLE this year!
Is it possible John Kerry really has an ad featuring an endorsement from a felon stating his intent to ILLEGALLY vote for John Kerry?
That's all I know, unfortunately. And I don't have time to chase this down and verify it. If anyone else here knows of the ad, and knows if it's one of the ads on his site, it'd be a hell of a scandal if it's true. It's possible the man's name is in the ad.
Wish I had more, but it's a start.
I've been being suspicious lately of everything I read. Especially with all the newbies. Although most seem ok, I'm sure there are some that need to see the kitties!

Dems unveil Republicans for Kerry
Washington, DC, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- The Kerry-Edwards campaign unveiled Wednesday a list of Republicans it says agreed to lead an effort to convince other GOP'ers to defect in November.
The Kerry-Edwards campaign said the roll out of the list and a new Web site is "the beginning of an ongoing national effort by Republicans who have pledged their support for John Kerry."
The leadership committee is composed of 29 individuals the Kerry-Edwards campaign identified as Republicans, including CSX Vice-Chairman A.R. "Pete" Carpenter, former National Policy Association CEO and Reagan administration official Malcolm Lovell, and ex-Nixon EPA Administrator Russell Train.
Others individuals involved, identified only by name and state of residence, include Georgia's Rich Boggs; Jason Brooms and Clyde Prestowitz of Washington, D.C.; Kentucky's Owsley and Christina Brown, Marshall Field of Illinois, New York's Rita Hauser, and George Hume of California.
The Kerry-Edwards campaign did not respond to an attempt to obtain more information about the committee's leadership and GOP activities.
The Web site, located at republicans.johnkerry.com, will include comments posted by other Republicans "who have made the choice to support John Kerry and John Edwards," the campaign said.
"If it can't be vetted with a source and facts, leave it be."
What's the harm in someone sending a tip to the RNC? Something interesting was heard on the radio and I see no harm in letting those who might have an interest investigate it. That doesn't mean Free Republic needs to be mentioned.

Thank you for letting me know this woman might well have some credibility. After most of the comments here, I had just about decided to drop it and forget I ever heard it.
To the doubters: I posted what I did because I thought people here might be interested and because I thought it was funny how it played perfectly into the perception of Democrats enlisting thousands of felons and the dead to vote for them. If you don't want anything to do with it, that's fine. But given the potential for embarrassment to the Kerry campaign, I wouldn't have forgiven myself if I didn't at least TRY to tell people - and this site has a pretty good history of news diggers who like to check this stuff out.
I doubt I ever would have found those releases that Terilyn posted, for example. I wouldn't have thought to check DNC or Moveon press releases at all, for that matter. That's why I posted it - because ya'll are a hell of a lot better at this than I am.
We have plenty of kooks here. Some of them are undoubtedly liberals pretending to be wacky social conservatives. It's the collective wisdom at this site that is far more powerful than any individual poster. We tend to tolerate the kooks wherever they came from and their posts generally remain uncensored. But for any lamestream media type who takes a quick look at FR, he or she'll come away with the impression that it's a worthless place. It's not until you literally spend several days here before you get what's really going on.
Have you seen any recent (last couple of days) polling in New York? Perhaps the Bush campaign is trying to reach voters in New Jersey.
They may still be arrogant but will probably not do that one again.
Do I think they are stupid? They are evil, dishonest, mean spirtited, and a lot more, but not really stupid.

If you and others want to send such unsubstantiated tips to the RNC, it will soon insure the RNC and others will start hitting the delete buttons for not only such tips, but legitimate ones as well.
Tips should be sourced and vetted prior to sending, at least it gives the recipient some assurance of validity to investigate. To do otherwise is to play into the hands of those that now falsely accuse FR and others of doing such wild rumors crap

I think this is a moveon.org ad buy. They're the ones that are pressing the I voted for Bush before I voted for Kerry theme.

She is not listed on the NASD CRD System.

Aleph, welcome to FR - the advice given by Dog Gone is some of the best I've read here for newcomers. We can't all be trusted, and there are tons of new people. I've had the pleasure of getting two trolls tossed today personally. Usually they can't keep their agendas hidden, and out themselves immediately. Others may take years. One thing for sure, they usually don't hang around after they post something - they post and run. So while you're new here, remember not to post to "Breaking News" unless it is really "Breaking", and always hang around to defend your position on vanities.
