Hiya Blackie.
WOW Ma. I'm jealous! How come you're not taking me?
OMG......I can't believe it......... the whole day has gone by and Spotsy has not been to the Canteen. What am I gonna do? I haven't even had a chance to wish her a happy weekend. How am I gonna make it through a whole weekend without a Spotsy fix? Dang...........dang.........dang.......
Ok all you wonderful people. Gotta get ready to hit the road for the trip home. Please have a wonderful weekend. And to our military and our allies~~~~~especially those in the hot areas ~~~~~~ BE SAFE.
Soldiers with 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, use a Bradley fighting vehicle to breech a wall Tuesday during a brigade-size operation to keep pressure on insurgent activity in Baghdads Sadr City. Parking space shortage? No problem just call 1-800-Car- Spot and our Bradley fighting vehicles will make you a new driveway at a very reasonable price.

Traditional Islamic hospitality was nowhere in sight when the boys decided to show up at the Insurgent's house for a short visit.

A soldier with the 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, discovers a Muqtada al-Sadr poster during a cordon-and-search operation in Sadr City on Wednesday. Gosh, this is just the poster that I needed to complete my collection of world famous Terrorists.

An Iraqi soldier keeps watch as U.S. soldiers search a man discovered at a suspected enemy hideout Tuesday during a joint U.S./Iraqi operation in Sadr City. The man, with his family, appeared to be squatting at the facility and was not detained. The quick game of pin the tail on the Iraqi was not as enjoyable as the games seemed to be back home in the world.

The Troops sometimes like to stop by a few bars after the workday is over.
A soldier fights from a rooftop stronghold during a battle with insurgents in Sadr City early Thursday. The soldiers had to move to the rooftop after their Bradley fighting vehicle was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade and caught fire. Two Bradleys and one tank were disabled by insurgent attacks Wednesday and early Thursday. Several soldiers also suffered gunshot wounds, but were all expected to survive. This is my rifle. There are many like it but this one is mine.

Breakfast in Sadr City is lately preceded with a nice cozy fire fight with Islamic terrorist insurgents.
Two wrecked Humvees belonging to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force are seen on Wednesday in the Mansour district of Baghdad. An explosion, believed to have been caused by a suicide bomber detonating a car bomb, killed one Iraqi civilian and destroyed 10 civilian cars on the road leading to Baghdad Airport. Those suicide bombers could save a lot of gasoline and explosives if they would just all kill themselves at the same time. |
Soldiers secure the area around two wrecked Humvees belonging to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force on Wednesday in the Mansour district of Baghdad. Those HumVees are not wrecked. They are simply experiencing a temporary loss of mobility coupled with a an acute case of molten engine core. |

Brooks is with the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team, which is providing humanitarian aid in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They were there to assess the needs at the school. In Afghanistan, if you bring candy to school the rules are that you have to bring some for everybody. |
Marine Lance Cpl. Rory F. Forrestal Jr., a military policeman assigned to Company B, 2d Military Police Battalion, 2nd Force Service Support Group, hugs his mom, Jennie, as his father, Rory Sr., looks on. The elder Forrestals drove to Camp Lejeune, N.C., from Long Island, N.Y., to see their son, who returned from a deployment to Iraq on Monday. Semper Fi!

Master Sgt. Donald Yedlicka cleans an F-16 Fighting Falcon canopy before a training flight at Lask air base, Poland. He is a crew chief assigned to the Texas Air National Guards 182nd Fighter Squadron at Lackland Air Force Base. The Texas airmen want to familiarize their Polish counterparts with the aircrafts capabilities, along with its day-to-day operations and maintenance. Service Stations with full service are rare in some areas, but the Air Force spares no expense when it comes to our aviators. |

He is a KC-135 Stratotanker boom operator from the Kadena-based 909th Air Refueling Squadron. Join the Air Force and fuel planes over the ocean thousands of feet up in the air.

A C-130 Hercules from the 1st Special Operations Squadron is refueled by a KC-135 Stratotanker from the 909th Air Refueling Squadron. Both planes are from Kadena Air Base, Japan. Krazy Glue, you can do some crazy things with it. |
A B-2 Spirit from the 509th Bomb Wing, Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., prepares for a refueling by a KC-135R Stratotanker from the 319th Air Refueling Wing at Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D., as part of a training mission.
