I didn't see the guy, but I sure wish I had.
metesky had some choice words to say to a (we think it was) woman with a really obscene sign, "The only Bush I trust.... (use your imagination here)."
When we left, we went via Maine Ave to avoid the traffic.
There was a dufus standing on the side of the road wearing a George Bush mask holding a sign, "Deport Bush." I yelled, "Hey, moron, you're in the wrong place!"
A story in the Bangor Daily today identifies the dufus as none other than Tom Connolly, the Kool Aid drinker who dropped the drunk driving story on the world right before the last election.
If only I had known, we could have had a "blowout" and veered dangerously close......
Heck, even if he DID win (probably by ballot box stuffing in Florida) what with the U.S. military 85-90%% in favor of Bush, it wouldn't be too long before a coup d' etat.
(Aw, jes' messin' with the liberal DU lurkers here on FR donchya know!)
I got a photo of the skank with the nasty sign. She was standing right next to the guys who had the Fallen Herores list.

W1 2x!
Very true!
And with a real man as president, like we have now and we had with President Reagan, these meetings with the president especially the surprise ones! can do wonders for morale, as is evidenced by your CG crew's reactions after meeting then-Vice President Bush. I can definitely understand, though, how they'd talk about that meeting for years after.

I haven't quit crying since 9/11 - tears come at the darndest times but then I think about our Commander in Chief, and I feel better knowing he is there; that he truly cares; that he is surrounded by good people in the White House. I love him and our Troops obviously care and respect their CIC.
I am proud of each and every one of them.
What a wonderful group........
It was a beautiful day in Bangor fitting for the rally of 3-4,000. If anyone ever gets a chance to see the President in person, do so; he is totally awesome!!!
Re: messages #88, 173:
"One of these pictures is not like the other one..." (sing along, everyone...)
George W went out of his way to greet the Lincoln crew who finished their 10 month deployment.
George W. flew into harms way to be with the troops in Iraq on Thanksgiving Day.
That speaks volumes to me.
You can tell the troops adore their CIC.
Notice how there seem to be no SS guards hovering over the President in this crowd?
Although we see a couple of "suits" in the background, they seem to rightly assume that this is a pretty friendly crowd!
I wonder how many Kerry supporters were aboard...;
Heh, heh, heh.... };^{D~
Let's just hope that the votes of these deploying braves manage to actually get counted this November... the USPS bears close watching, Amigos!
Re.:
"...The DEMs must be very fearful of the way troops would react to him vs. President Bush."
Kerry's been to VietNam; surely he is familiar with the term "Fragging", sometimes associated with a very unpopular Officer.
Nuff said, eh?
Not many turbans in that crowd... not many at all...
I'll bet this young Marine just loved having his "heels locked" (Note position of "Attention") in a public resturant by a "superior", eh?
Never to mind, Sen. K.; if this brave - and obviously well-disciplined - U.S. Gyrene attempts to vote via absentee ballott this November, the Postoffice ("MiniPost") will probably see to it that his vote never makes it in time to be counted...
If at all.
(Gee; Kerry almost seems to be pretty confident of that, doesn't he?)
Re:
"Which one of those men understands what a leader really is?"
I'll betcha dollars to C-rats that pretty much ALL of those in Uniform sure as shucks do!

I'm not laughing.
The Dems WILL do everything in their power (which is still significant) to STEAL this election, with the help of the DALEY machine and the US MiniPost helping them.
Not to mention the hordes of "undocumented" immigrants lining up in America registering to vote.
They have LOTS of experience at pulling such stunts, and seem to be coming up with new election scams daily.
When Democracy breaks down, as it well may...
Something's gotta give - and the Old Tree of Liberty will be due for another liberal "manuring", as Sam Adams knew it would from time to time.
Let's hope the Commies don't succeed in their schemes;
Or there will be Hell to pay; we can count on it.
This is great! Thanks!
(I don't watch much tv, but bet it didn't make the tv news).
Note: most of these folks look older than recruits. Are they all NG?
Norski. :-)
