Massachusetts Democrat Brian Golden Endorses President Bush
Earlier today, Democratic Massachusetts State Representative Brian Paul Golden announced that he will support President Bush in November over fellow Bay State Democrat John Kerry. Goldens endorsement comes after witnessing President Bushs accomplishments on education, Medicare and security issues. In contrast, Golden says that after following John Kerrys 20-year senate career in Massachusetts, he still doesnt know what Kerry stands for.
America needs a president who cares more about doing what is right than doing what is politically expedient. Both at home and abroad, President Bush has made tough decisions and shown a clarity of purpose that makes America stronger and safer, Golden said.
President Bush is the right candidate to lead America in the War on Terror because his decisions are based on principle, not politics. Senator Kerry demonstrated a troubling approach to the War on Terror by voting against $87 billion in funding to equip our troops in Iraq with essential supplies like body armor. I have confidence in President Bush as Chief Executive and I will proudly work for his re-election.
Golden joins a long list of Democrats who have endorsed the President and have formed the Democrats for Bush coalition. Golden has served as a Massachusetts state representative since 1999 and he also serves on the education, arts and humanities, ways and means, government regulations and judiciary committees.
Hey all this is my first time posting hope I did it right.
Exactly, John F Kennedy was born in Brookline.
It is rare for a newbie.
Posting like a newbie.
Good post. Welcome to FR.
He represents a portion of the People's Republic of Brookline. While I applaud his bold stance, it's almost certainly political suicide.
I think I just heard Teresa call Brian Golden a scumbag and to shove it.
YAAHOOOOOOOO!
makes me "gringe" too!, especially since he gives him plaudits for education and medicare.
"Has any Republican endorsed Kerry ?"
Didn't some New England Senator (Chaffee ? ) recently say he may not vote for Bush ?
Welcome to Free Republic!
I can just hear Ma Ma TRex yelling "Shove it you scumbag, and may your children not have clothing after the hurricanes!"
Somebody should start putting together a list of Dems who have endorsed Bush. I believe the Democrat mayor of St.Paul, Minnesota endorsed Bush. Can anyone think of others (besides Zell..) ?
I have to disagree.
He knows his constituency better than we do. There are pockets of Bush support in Boston.
Great first post. Keep them coming.
"Golden says that after following John Kerrys 20-year senate career in Massachusetts, he still doesnt know what Kerry stands for."
Mr. Golden sounds like he has good judgement.
I'll bet Hilary pulls the W handle.
It might be helpful if we had that list.
You did great!
Now, go put up some plywood cuz here comes Jeanne.
YES!
