Wow!
Hey John! Max! Wanna play catch???
Last night I thought I saw the man who tore the campaign sign from the little girl's hands in the Florida audience. He had the same union shirt on.
So, because the demoSTUPIDs think that we are idiots, I looked up the synonyms for the word "mislead". Here's the results:
To cause to accept what is false, especially by trickery or misrepresentation: beguile, betray, bluff, cozen, deceive, delude, double-cross, dupe, fool, hoodwink, humbug, take in, trick. Informal : bamboozle, have. Slang : four-flush. Idioms: lead astray, play false, pull the wool over someone's eyes, put something over on, take for a ride.Ok, since we have to play word games with this crowd, here's the questions that we seem to need to ask:
Well. Did he?
T]he picture painted of John Kerry as an indecisive flip-flopper has taken hold. Although the Democratic nominee has barely slipped in his head-to-head matchup with the president, even voters who want change aren't convinced yet that he possesses the strength of character to be commander in chief. The Republicans gladly take credit for this though, in fairness, the ineptitude of the Democratic candidate and campaign has helped
From the Slate article:
Right up until Labor Day, Kerry sat on a six-point lead in most polls; the original headline for this piece, in fact, was going to be "Swung." The numbers looked grim for the president. According to the August Keystone poll, 11 percent of his 2000 voters now said they were voting Kerry; one-third of Howard Stern's substantial Pennsylvania audience (in the Pittsburgh, Philly, and Harrisburg markets) said he'd persuaded them to switch from Bush to Kerry. (Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity have more listeners statewide, but as Keystone pollster Terry Madonna notes, "Their audience is already on their side.") Even in the middle of the state, Bush was barely polling above 50 percent. But Kerry's numbers stayed weak. People weren't swinging; they were waitingfor a reason to vote for one side or the other. Unfortunately for Kerry, he hasn't been able to give them one
The Chicago Tribune article didn't exactly say that Kerry hasn't given the voters any reason to vote for him, but they did say that he was confusing the voters:
Kerry gave little definition to the change of course he represents. He did, though, say: "We could begin to withdraw U.S. forces starting next summer and realistically aim to bring all our troops home within the next four years." That's the kind of specificity that different listeners hear in different ways. Appreciative Americans might fairly conclude that Kerry wants to bring our boys and girls home. Other groups nervous Iraqi citizens awaiting democracy, the vicious insurgents who plague them, and the coalition forces serving alongside U.S. troops might fairly conclude that the Democrat who would be president is primarily interested in getting the heck out of Iraq ASAP.
With the exception of Zell Miller, there's not a statesman among them.
Apparently, all kerry can do is criticize. His glass in always half empty. He has no leadership ability.
"Here we go..our wonderful President and Allawi press conference."
Gawd, I hope this doesn't mean we have to hear another response from what's his tongue when it's over.
Then the swifties come behind and say, why would Kerry apologize to today's troops? He's yet to apologize to his fellow Vietnam soldiers... a lifetime of trashing American interests.
Rush is going to talk about Lurch, however he is going to cover the Bush/Allawi press conference first.
Someone named Monica......she was on with Steve Malzberg last Sunday morning.
Howard Stern listeners.........OMG..................
Zell was our very best secret weapon. Reading his speech prepared no one for his delivery! He shocked the dems....BIG TIME.
Oh that that would happen !! You just made my day thinking of that ! THANKS !
Was Kerry or Edwards there?
Where did Kerry give his speech? I didn't catch the location other than the firefighters in the background.
New thought:
I think Bush is leaving Falluja alone so that the newly-US-trained Iraqi Army can show their progress against a legitimate target. In my coaching, we call it positive reinforcement.
Does anyone else here think that Ted Kennedy and Michael Moore are actually the same person, kinda like Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson?
Opps, I did not take my noon-time meds. Maybe that explains it.
Yes, Howard Stern listeners. It says a lot about the public schools in Philadelphia, where the schools were so bad that they had to be taken over by the state.
