Hi everyone. My Dad has had two strokes in the last few days. He is only 64 years old. So far, he is very weak and confused but is still able to talk. The doctor is warning of the strong possibility of more strokes with progressing severity.
Will you please pray for my dad and my family as we deal with this?
Thank you all. It means so much.

Oh my, Tammy. I just discovered and read all the posts and prayers for your father. It's clear he was a wonderful man and a great patriot. With your permission, and as a tribute to him, I plan to forward the photos of him casting his vote for our president. Your experience has truly touched my heart. God bless, and please know that I will pray for him and for all of you.

Oh my, Tammy, that is beautiful and so inspiring. God bless you and your family, and a loving welcome home to your father.

My tagline came from a Ranger that I worked with at Mesa Verde. He said he had a button that said that...so when my job ended...I swiped it!! LOL

Yes, my dear, you have my permission to send these pictures and stories out to whomever you would like.
I am very proud of my dad and my mom. He was a terrific father and a great husband to my mom.
Let me tell you a little story about him. My younger sister had a bypass operation at the age of 38. Dad had already had two bypass surgeries.
While we were waiting, my dad began to have insulin shock, because he hadn't eaten anything. So, he got really loopy and confused.
We were taking him to the cafeteria to get some food in him, when he just went all weird. We were close to the nursing station, so I asked for a chair and some orange juice or something for him. The nurse's had some chocolate candy which they brought over.
In my Dad's confused state, he asked the nurse to get really, really close, to tell her a secret. I was horrified, just certain that he was going to make a pass at the nurse since he was so confused.
The nurse began to laugh after she got his "secret". He wanted to know where that candy came from, because it was really good and he wanted to know where more was!
So, even mentally altered, he was still a very good boy.
He sure loved my mom. And us.
We loved him. His loss is hard, but the joy of sharing his life sort of over rides the loss.
Thanks for caring. There is a video on khou.com if you haven't seen him.
He's very handsome!

For all of you that have asked about my dad and the news video, here is the link.
I apologize for duplicates and this shoud be my last group ping, (unless the President showed up or something...sigh...just wishful thinking. He needs to be off getting elected again!)
Thanks again for sharing all of this with me and my family.

RIght click and then Save target as and then file it somewhere where you can remember it. I will save it- so you can play around with it for a bit and not have to worry about it. Then someone could email it to you as well.

Hi Sweetie. I was going to email you but have been really covered up. Just spent 9 hours at Akron GOP headquarters..
I cant go to your link due to some computer problems... but if it is a TV news link, call the station.. tell them you are daughter & they will prolly give you a tape(free).
You might want to ask for the entire news cast.. for posterity it will also let your children, grandchildren know what else was going on that special day.
Hope you are doing okay. there are bad & good days..
hugs
