Cool.
Now I realize that within this new alternative media there exists some jealosy,. I sense that some people dont want to give the blogosphere the full credit. They have to parcel it out because every body wants a piece of the action; this is quite normal, this is human nature. The fact of the matter is that it was the blogosphere and it was a couple of sites: Powerline and FreeRepublic. And FreeRepublic has been one of the most impugned blogs / websites in the history of websites by the very institution that has been brought down.
When Dan Rather talked about partisan political operatives, he means those who lurk at FreeRepublic. Who is FreeRepublic, its ordinary Americans liberals look down at ordinary Americans, dont know have enough decision making power, [?] do the right thing, not smart enough
You dont know how much it grates on them at CBS that its something like FreeRepublic or one of their chat rooms or one of the FReepers there or the Powerline you have no idea that it irritates them that that kind of person brought them down. An average, ordinary untrained journalist that you just do not know how this irritates them inside. More than the fact that they got caught, its who caught them that irritates them.
And, so just as I started out I was a fad, and I was a liar, and I made it up and I was bad for America and I posed threats to democracy, as the cover of Time said. So now the same things are being said about the bloggers. Fox news has had its turn and we all continue rotating in the criticism carousel of the left.
You beat me to the punch! I was just getting ready to post what he said when I saw your thread.
He mentioned FRee Republic over and over in his monologue. What he said was sooooo right on!! I've been taping the program, but no doubt we'll be able to find the transcript posted at his web site later.
BTTT!!
Does this mean we all have to buy Rush a car?
I'm eternally grateful that Rush refers to us as bloggers and FReepers instead of the increasingly-inaccurate "Pajamahadeen."
I'd just as soon we don't get a name that smacks of the Islamist Mujahideen.
Hello world!
I figured it out! Rush is the REAL buckhead, LOL
I wonder what Rush's FReeper name would be?
halfmybrain?
macanudo?
How embarrassing . . . here I am posting in a suit and tie at a moment like this . . . where the heck are my jammies?
Rush said the BLoggers on FreeRepublic aka The Pajama Hadeen took down CBS!
Cordially,
We met Bo Sneardly (sp?) at the Freeper Inaguration Ball. I believe he is a program observer for Limbaugh. He told us that he frequently goes to FR for latest news.
Man, did it ever. It's down to a slow crawl here.
The last half hour of his show.
I was expecting Rush to exhort us to Jihad
Viva la Pajamahadeen!
I heard it! I could barely get on FR and it timed out the minute he mentioned the website. He said people like Freepers are able to bring established institutions like CBS down.
We are, after all how dare the serfs question anything they say. (SARCASM OFF)
and this was not just a casual mention. It was a major sustained tribute that he tied in to his own story going back to the beginning in 1988, and leading to the downfall of Dan Rasher and CBS. Rush often fails to credit FR for whatever reason, but today he really said some good stuff.
