Cool.
Now I realize that within this new alternative media there exists some jealosy,. I sense that some people dont want to give the blogosphere the full credit. They have to parcel it out because every body wants a piece of the action; this is quite normal, this is human nature. The fact of the matter is that it was the blogosphere and it was a couple of sites: Powerline and FreeRepublic. And FreeRepublic has been one of the most impugned blogs / websites in the history of websites by the very institution that has been brought down.
When Dan Rather talked about partisan political operatives, he means those who lurk at FreeRepublic. Who is FreeRepublic, its ordinary Americans liberals look down at ordinary Americans, dont know have enough decision making power, [?] do the right thing, not smart enough
You dont know how much it grates on them at CBS that its something like FreeRepublic or one of their chat rooms or one of the FReepers there or the Powerline you have no idea that it irritates them that that kind of person brought them down. An average, ordinary untrained journalist that you just do not know how this irritates them inside. More than the fact that they got caught, its who caught them that irritates them.
And, so just as I started out I was a fad, and I was a liar, and I made it up and I was bad for America and I posed threats to democracy, as the cover of Time said. So now the same things are being said about the bloggers. Fox news has had its turn and we all continue rotating in the criticism carousel of the left.
I just checked and there have been 292 look at this thread.
Thanks to Rush for his comments.
My beeber is stuned.
I've seem Pajahamedeen, and I've seen Pajamarazzi. I don't know which one I dislike more.
The last time Rush mentioned FR this favorably, the site crashed and was down for hours. We must have gotten more bandwidth since then! :D
many of us are conspiracy theorists ..... just not quite as paranoid as the ultra-violet end of the political spectrum
We have a name... FReepers
You'll find Mark Levin hanging around every now and again.
Screen name: holdonnow
You know, at times there are some wacky ideas put froth on FR. But there is always a discussion about those and any ideas put forth. Most times these 'wacky' ideas are someone not phrasing their thoughts properly, or not having complete info. And even when the ideas are a little far gone, cooler heads prevail, and reason ends up ruling the conversation. But those with 'wacky' ideas are free to speak in this country and to ask questions in this country. 'Journalists' have not been afforded more free speech protection than anyone else in this country.
The Iron Triangle of the NEW MEDIA.
Wow! I LOVE THAT! GOOD ONE, Mad Dawgg!!!
Now we're gonna get innundated with DU Trolls! Yikes, fire-up The Viking Kitties!
AND the most hated site by hillary!
We have a name... FReepers...

Chupadanbra
So FR must be doing something right!
Actually, if you want to get technical, I go back to 3-10-98.
But, unwittingly, I used my actual name...so I changed to this one a few months later.
I guess if I get banned, I'll have to go back to that name, because I am not willing to have to re-establish my "bona fides"
;-)
We have always been FReepers - old news
That was back when some of the more colorful Freepers were calling Rush and giving him a hard time about something [I don't remembe what]. I do remember the picture, though. As I recall, we all rushed to post stuff like, "How did he get a picture me." in response.
You guys are huge! (Freerepublic) I just heard Rush high five all of Freeper and to have Rush spend as much time as he just did, praising you for being who you are is simply amazing. Props to the admins, moderators and all the "regular" people who post here.

In the last half hour.
I'd love it if he'd put it on an MP-3 so that we could download it. I'm a 24/7 member, so maybe I'll make an email request for that on the restricted area of his web site.
