MTV Choose or Lose

Last night I was channel surfing and I stopped on MTV. I could not believe what I saw. I'll try to recap it as best I can recall:
They have a Choose or Lose commercial running showing a bunch of people in a party. A girl asks a guy something like does he plan to vote in the election. He says no, derisively. She says he should because of the draft! The announcer says that people should vote becuase issues like the draft will be decided by this election.
I was stunned by what I saw! MTV is trying to scare young voters into believing there is going to be a draft!!
Unbelieveable how far the DemRats have sunk. Just when you think they can go no lower......

Anyone else seen this? I searched their site (I feel like I need a bath!), but I couldn't find anything about this.

Find a link. We need to raise awareness of this to others.

I saw the head of "rock the vote" on a cable news show over the weekend saying that they were going to put on these ads. miserable b*stards. W is still pretty strong with younger voters, however.

Maybe that commerical should tell the kids that the only two calling for a draft in the Congress are Dem's.

It has been the Democratic legislators that have been pushing for the draft.

The announcer says that people should vote becuase issues like the draft will be decided by this election. That's absolutely correct.
If the DemoncRATS win they will initiate the draft for the express purpose of getting people to be against finishing what the Islamosfascists started.

Before people do anything about this, try to confirm it. I know what I saw, but I don't have any proof. I couldn't find anything on their site.
If you do call anyone about this, tell them it needs to be confirmed before action is taken.

And if these kids were smart enough to study history they would see it is a Democrat President that drafts young Americans, President Roosevelt (Democrat), President Johnson (Democrat)..........

I saw some today holding signs on TRL saying "Vote or Die!" Now I know what they meant.

Rock The Vote is coming to Austin, TX to UT's campus this week, I think. Maybe the heart of Texas chapter could gin something up.

I have also heard that AOL is running on their Home Page, something that is basically the same. Trying to scare the kids into voting Dems.

I have seen this over at the DUmmies cave. They are working hard to convince all 18 to 25 year olds, and "send it to parents of them also" that a vote for Bush, is a vote for the draft... they have a "letter" to cut and paste to everyone on their email list.
sooooo scary the tactics they are using

Sounds like an extension of their Viral Marketing campaign:
http://www.mbaassociation.org/index.php?name=Articles&op=show&id=518
Follows right up their alley with passing along (or starting) urban legend e-mail chains or article passing. It doesn't matter if it is true, what matters is if some people think it is and talk to others, and talk to others, and so on and so on...

Fast counter to draft rumors. Under Reagan the US could support a sixteen division Army, 500 ship Navy (2 Marine Div) and 22 tactical air wing Airforce with an all volunteer military. Today we only have ten divisions, 240 ships (2 Marine Div) and 14 wings. We would have to increase our standing military substantially above Reagan levels before a draft can be considered.
