You people prayed me out of a bad spot once. I need your help again.
Sunday night my mother-in-law, who is an absolute saint, had a blood clot on the brain aboard a cruise ship leaving Newark. The Coast Guard (bless them!) got her to a hospital in NYC. She had brain surgery late last night. She is still in a coma and cannot breathe on her own. She is only 67 and she has 5 daughters, 4 son-in-laws, a husband and a lot of grandchildren who love her dearly. Please pray that she comes back to us.
Further, I just received a phone call 1/2 hour ago from #2 son telling me that #1 son was injured badly in a car accident early this morning. He has a badly broken femur, broken ankle and a severe concussion. They are waiting for him to stabilize so they can try to repair the femur with a rod and pins and set the ankle. He is the devoted father of two young boys, my grandsons, who love their daddy dearly. They tell me it will be many months before he can walk or work again. He manages a Dominos and was delivering a pizza while short-handed. Please pray that he will heal quickly and completely.
Prayers on the way!
My heartfelt prayers for you and the family.
Prayers for your mother-in-law and #1 son. God bless and be with you all!
Grant complete success to the surgeons involved ... strengthen this dear woman with the ability to again breathe on her own ... bring her out of her coma into the warmth and love of her family, I pray. Knit again the bones of Glenn's son and bless him with an ability to heal beyond all expectations. Speak words of reassurance and comfort to the families, for great is their trial, but greater are You, O God. Lead them through this time of darkness into the Sonlight of Your love. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
I join in prayers for healing and return to perfect health for your son and mother-in-law!
Your mother-in-law, son and entire family will be in my prayers.
Prayer bump...

I continue to pray for you as well.
My son is coming around. Still a couple of obstacles in his way, including a long road of PT ahead of him once he leaves the hospital. He can't urinate on his own yet. That's a problem the doctors are also wrestling with.
His brother came in last night. I hadn't seen my sons together since last Thanksgiving. Even in unfortunate circumstances, it's a real joy to see them.
My MIL went back into surgery to try to relieve some of the pressure on her brain again. She is stable but still comatose.
Now that I know my son is okay, I have to try to fly home tomorrow so my wife can get to NYC to be with her mother. Will be back online after that.
Thank you all and regards,
Glenn

FReepers prayed me out of a bad spot once, too. Your mother-in-law and son will certainly be remembered in my prayers.
I'm so sorry. Your wife will be in my prayers as well as your son.
