Sunday the President met with First Responders in Alabama, in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan, saying, "I want to thank the search and rescue teams from all over the United States who are here, using every possible asset they have to find those who are still missing." He comforted residents during a walking tour of neighborhoods damaged by Hurricane Ivan in Pensacola, Florida.
Today President Bush campaigned in Derry, N.H., before heading to New York City for meetings at the United Nations.
Enjoy your daily Dose of W @ Sanity Island.
YEAH!!! That, and the poll results you posted, are wonderful news.
We should pray for the election to be OVERWHELMINGLY for Pres. Bush, otherwise you KNOW Kerry is going to use the 2000+ lawyers he's ALREADY HIRED to dispute the results. And overwhelming victory is what we need!
It was terrible to listen to you but I'm determined to "know the enemy" so I can have the ammo to dispute what he says. It's a wonder the President can stay positive thru all he said. He sure did say the troops' work was worth nothing, didn't he??? I think he lost any hope of the military vote, not that he had much anyway. I feel so bad for them, and their loved ones, for hearing that cr**.
I hope the Bush campaign DOES use clips from what his previous stand was, compared to his current "stand." I hope the Bush people don't try to be too "nice."
I can't wait for the debates, because I KNOW the President has the ammunition to slice and dice Kerry completely. I read/heard somewhere that the moderator will NOT be a person from the mainstream media, which is a blessing. God willing, we'll get someone who will FORCE Kerry to give an actual answer. Our President HAS the answers, and Kerry does NOT. Even if people don't like the Pres.' answers, they've got to give him credit for having a point of view.
I find it very intersting how little we've heard from Teddy, Hillary, Tommy Dashole, Nancy Pelosi, etc., etc., etc. lately.
Ultimately, I hope and pray the people of America will consider the following question--"Who do I want as a leader, tonight, as I go to sleep and worry about the safety of my family???" Because that's THE most important question.
I'll try to be in a better mood tomorrow!
I live in Nebraska, and there are no Democratic neighborhoods! LOL!!! Even my die-hard, "we're all victims, the gov't owes us all a living" mother-in-law admitted the other day that Kerry is arrogant and she doesn't want to listen to him for the next four years.
But . . . how about every time I get discouraged I'll send up another prayer for America's eyes and ears to be open to the lies of Kerry, and the TRUTH of Pres. Bush. THAT will make me feel better. . . .
Looks like I'm talking to myself, so "goodnight all!"
Two of my most liberal friends have told me that they can't bring themselves to vote for Kerry, they say they will vote for Bush because he will win the war in Iraq and despite the fact that they disagree with it, they feel it must be won and they doubt John Kerry is steady enough to be tough when it counts most.
By the time this Memo gate story is done, the Democrats will be ion deep doo doo, and come November 2nd, George W. Bush will win in landslide, he will have 3 more Republicans in the Senate and Tom Daschle will be ousted by John Thune.
In the next term George W. Bush will have a mandate and the democrats will all be heading for the center, and Pelosi and Carl Levin and their ilk will be Dinosaurs in a Party divided
Hi! Sorry I stepped away for awhile to get the girls bedded, read to, clean kitchen, etc.etc, etc. Yes, my parents did drive me nuts, but it's because they still see me as their child and that I have to be tended to. That can drive any adult batty after awhile. :) I am sure I will be the same way when mine have left the nest too. Homemom, I am really enjoying your book. I have needed it this week.
Oh no you don't :-) You have to read my last post
That sounds wonderful! I hope that is what happens. I just cannot imagine what type "normal" person will be voting for Kerry. He is so sanctimonious. He and Teresa make my skin crawl, more so than the Clintons.
Luckily I checked FR one more time before logging off-- :-)
OK, I'm feeling much better now . . . the polls do show the Pres. waaaayyy ahead in the states and areas you've quoted. I just worry about their dirty tricks because they'll stop at NOTHING . . . but I'm going to be positive . . . THANKS for helping!!!
I can't wait to see Kerry et. al cry on Nov. 3.
I'm going to my cousin's wedding Nov. 6th. Her parents, my aunt and uncle, are very pro-Kerry. So are my husb's aunt and uncle, who we'll visit at the same time. It could be a *fun* wedding, especially since I'll still have my pro-Bush bumper stickers on the car. I might even get a few more, just for the occasion!!!
NOW can I go to bed??? LOL!
Cheers homemom! Raise a glass for me!
Mike
Glad you're back!
Truth be told, I like when my parents "take care" of me when we visit. I sleep as late as I want and they just have fun with the kids. Of course last time I went I was recovering from a very bad case of the flu--the "bad" flu--they didn't care how I was, just that they got to play with the kids. LOL! Nice your parents could help and you had a safe place to go.
FR mail in a minute--
Done . . .
I sure hope to visit your country someday! My mother-in-law was there in 2000 and loved it. I made her a scrapbook with the pictures she took and the souvenirs she collected, and that just strengthened my resolve to visit someday. As well as the traditional tourist places, I'd love to visit the outback.
Happy Tuesday afternoon to you (it is Tues. afternoon, right? IIRR when MIL visited she was +16 hrs. of us here in the middle of the US).
I will, now that I've had my visit to Sanity Island.
See you all tomorrow! (or is that the day after, for you in the land down under??)
'night homemom! think it will be the day after tomorrow when I catcha again. Sweet dreams!
and come November 2nd, George W. Bush will win in landslide, he will have 3 more Republicans in the Senate and Tom Daschle will be ousted by John Thune.
President Bush will win in a landslide, but we need a landslide to overwhelm the voter fraud. We need polls so strong for Bush that the democrat crooks, as they make their plans for stealing the election, will finally say "What's the use? We can't steal enough votes to win" and give up.
Today I delivered a copy of John Fund's new book "Stealing Elections" to our local library. Tomorrow I will stop by to make sure they have it displayed in front.
Thanks for giving us the good news.
We will win Tommix2 and I we will celebrate here on this thread till the sun comes up on election night
Mike ~~~ in view of your comment, I thought you would appreciate this little story that is going around via email ... :-)
I apologize for the all-caps ... that's the way I've seen it and copied it.
WORKING PEOPLE FREQUENTLY ASK RETIRED PEOPLE WHAT THEY DO TO MAKE THEIR
DAYS INTERESTING.
I WENT TO THE STORE THE OTHER DAY. I WAS ONLY IN THERE FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES.
WHEN I CAME OUT THERE WAS A CITY COP WRITING OUT A PARKING TICKET.
I WENT UP TO HIM AND SAID, "COME ON, BUDDY, HOW ABOUT GIVING A SENIOR A
BREAK?"
HE IGNORED ME AND CONTINUED WRITING THE TICKET.
I CALLED HIM A NAME. HE GLARED AT ME AND STARTED WRITING ANOTHER TICKET FOR
HAVING WORN TIRES. SO I CALLED HIM A WORSE NAME. HE FINISHED THE
SECOND TICKET AND PUT IT ON
THE WINDSHIELD WITH THE FIRST.
THEN HE STARTED WRITING A THIRD TICKET. THIS WENT ON FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES.
THE MORE I ABUSED HIM THE MORE TICKETS HE WROTE.
I DIDN'T CARE. MY CAR WAS PARKED AROUND THE CORNER AND THIS ONE
HAD A "RELECT KERRY" BUMPER STICKER ON IT
I TRY TO HAVE A LITTLE FUN EACH DAY NOW THAT I'M RETIRED.
IT'S IMPORTANT AT OUR AGE.
I TRY TO HAVE A LITTLE FUN EACH DAY NOW THAT I'M RETIRED.
LOL. thanks
