CBS: "Without Favoritism" (MUST-SEE Photo of CBS News truck proving anti-Bush bias!)

9/20/2004: CBS: "Without Favoritism"

An LGF reader has forwarded several highly revealing photographs of a CBS News van - with anti-Bush material proudly displayed in its front window. Here’s what he wrote:

Some friends and I were up at CBS yesterday afternoon taking some funny pictures for our website when a CBS News van pulled up with anti-Bush stuff in the window. We took several shots to prove where they were taken and we were sure to get the license plate in one of the shots. The CBS placard in the window is leaning on a Satan bobble head doll. How appropriate.

UPDATE at 9/20/04 11:27:45 am:

Please note: this photo was taken yesterday while Rathergate was raging. I have two other photographs of this truck; a closeup of the CBS News sign showing contact phone numbers, and a wide shot showing the license plate of the truck.

I trust CBS as far as I can hurl (four stories out my dorm window is my record) , but let's be honest...it could be a setup. Quite often these newsvan's are left with the window open. Someone could have slid the sign in there just to take this picture...kind of hard to tell if the front window is open or closed.

I take this with a grain of salt.

All this proves is that the driver doesn't like Pres. Bush. That sign isn't permanently stuck on there; the driver could easily just have dropped it in there and take it with her (my guess, given the text) when she leaves.

I can personally verify that is indeed the front of the CBS Broadcast Center on West 57th Street in Manhattan.

Impossible. The font on that sign was not available to MS WORD in the year 2004.

Do they have Dr. Raoul's Satan mask in there, with the horns showing above the sign?

Ouch! That's really too funny and kind of sad at the same time. Post the rest of the pics and ship this off to the news agencies and any late night comedy shows you deem worthy.

All this proves is that the driver doesn't like Pres. Bush.

Network news vans don't have "drivers." Everyone that uses the van is directly involved in the newsgathering process: reporters, cameramen, producers, etc.

It's no different from Mary Mapes walking out of CBS's front door to hold a press conference wearing a t-shirt with the same line on it.

Forgive me, I live and work in an area of town where I don't get to upset if I leave my window down on my car, but are you telling me that a news crew would leave an news van with 100's of thousands of dollars worth of equipment in it, unattended with a window open in downtown Manhattan?

Ballsy

I can't even get FR moderators to allow this in a sidebar where Freepers will see it!
