Drudge: Secret Service on Trail of Presidential Assassins
Sunday, September 19, 2004 | Kristinn

Posted on 09/19/2004 8:20:40 PM PDT by kristinn

A worried Matt Drudge reported on his radio show tonight that the Secret Service is on the trail of several people intent on assassinating President Bush.

Drudge said the news story is not his, but that "those in the know" know what he's talking about.

He said more will be reported in the coming days.

Drudge pleaded with his fellow Americans to let the political process play out and to not descend to killing presidential candidates.

I'm concerned because the libs have pulled almost every dirty trick in the book and each time Bush comes out with a higher lead. They know he's going to win and Hitlery did promise us a surprise in October, anyone remember that? So the terrorists, dems etc have one thing in common , they do not want Bush in the WH

I would rather suspect it might be because they are onto some person(s).

A mother's grief and then I saw a parade here today, each person protesting, spurred by a very angry father whose son died in Iraq recently, they each carried a banner with a name of a soldier who has died there

I read the Civil War was fought because of the Dred Scott decision.

Before that the North and South had the Missouri Compromise and a gentleman's agreement.

But the decison by SCOTUS didn't just declare that slaves were "property" that could be "recovered", meaning slave holders could go into the North and get runaways, it also meant that slave holders could move North and bring their slaves with them.

When I saw that graphic on Craig Kilborn's show, I immediately called the Secret Service in Los Angeles.

And when they didn't take me so seriously at first, I started crying and told them how I remembered how Bobby was shot in Los Angeles, and I couldn't stand for that to happen again.

Then they were nicer.

What many people don't report is that because of Hate Crimes legislation passed in California that if anyone sees or reads something published or broadcast that instigates murder of "an elected official of this or any other State" and commits murder, then the publisher, broadcaster is liable for the same penalty as the perpetrator, which in California is the death penalty.

I emailed Craig the relevant sections of the penal code.

They must be planning to use a sling shot

Or spit balls! (As hard as I tried, I just *know* that I'm not the first to say this...)

Spitballs.

I knew it. I knew it! Why can I never be first?! Why, why, why?! Damn those things that distract me from FR for half an hour.

Musharraf traveling to U.S. in search of peace, praise
Pakistan's leader says his nation has broken the back of al-Qaida in the war against terrorism
By SIMON CAMERON-MOORE
Reuters News Service

ISLAMABAD - Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf travels to the United Nations in New York today to push peace with rival India and collect praise for arrests he says have broken al-Qaida's back in the war against terror.

And then Kofi and his lame remarks, I trust Bush will be safe

I'm not the least bit surprised at this. If someone takes a shot and misses, you can bet the Dems will say it was some Rovian plot, and after Bush is re-elected the threat will only get worse I expect.

You know it. That is exactly what happened in Taiwan in March when their President was shot before the election.

I don't really believe in curses, per se, but I do admit it is vaguely concerning every President was murdered or died elected in '00. Even though Reagan supposedly escaped, he did come down with Alzheimer's not too long after.

George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and the rest...they're all dead too. :)

Yes, but also consider that Soros also hates Bush on a personal level, because Bush professes faith in God. This, I believe, is the basis for the cultural or psychological based hatred that we see from many on the left who practice a secular or hedonistic lifestyle in the extreme.
