Drudge: Secret Service on Trail of Presidential Assassins

A worried Matt Drudge reported on his radio show tonight that the Secret Service is on the trail of several people intent on assassinating President Bush.

Drudge said the news story is not his, but that "those in the know" know what he's talking about.

He said more will be reported in the coming days.

Drudge pleaded with his fellow Americans to let the political process play out and to not descend to killing presidential candidates.

If someone were to get to Bush before the election, do these wannabe assassins really think we'd elect Kerry? President Cheney by a landslide.

Hillary wouldn't allow it. If Cheney had to become President between now and the end of the current presidential term, he could be elected to two terms. He would be eligible to serve till 2013 according to the 25th amendment.

Lets not forget that slavery was legal under the U.S. Constitution at that time. It ended after the Civil War with the ratification of the 13th Amendment. The first two years of the war were NOT fought to abolish slavery, according to Lincoln. It was being fought to preserve the Union.

Keep the faith mon, our destiny is not predetermined. The left may well overplay their hand, and cause a massive unintended consequence which will cripple them in the long run.

Sounds like Drudge is trying to drum up ratings for his radio show.

I don't think so. He said, "This isn't my story". He said it was very disturbing. Those "in the know" to whom he was referring are the secret service. While he did say that more would be coming out over the coming days, he implied that he would not be the one reporting it.

You do see enough of this kind of thing at DU to find it frightening. I caught Michelle Malkin on Cspan this eve, complete with some demonstration occurring as she spoke about her book. Only the wacked-out left summons the hate to protest a book. And they are precisely the group to engage in politically motivated violence, sadly.
