A worried Matt Drudge reported on his radio show tonight that the Secret Service is on the trail of several people intent on assassinating President Bush.
Drudge said the news story is not his, but that "those in the know" know what he's talking about.
He said more will be reported in the coming days.
Drudge pleaded with his fellow Americans to let the political process play out and to not descend to killing presidential candidates.

If it happened after the election, but before the inauguration and Bush and Cheney where reelected then Cheney would be president for the next four years.
Back in 2000, I was the first one to post a note about the "Snipers Wanted" graphic on FR, just because I wondered if anyone else had noticed it. I suppose today, the big story would not be that a talk show host was advocating the assassination of a presidential candidate, but that the MSM was trying to figure out who I was and if I'd ever given any money to any Republican candidates (for the record, I'm not a GOP operative, I've never even met Karl Rove, and I pay a CPA to insure I give as little money as possible to any politician.) Like Buckhead, I just have eyes and a functioning brain, which is so rare in liberal circles that it immediately makes you suspect.
When I was in elementary school many decades ago I read a book about the Secret Service. There have always been people who want to assassinate the president and the Secret Service is always on the trail of people like this. So why is this news?

I know that Bush has cajones the size of grapefruits and won't back down from anyone, but I hope he is getting the best protection that the Secret Service can give him.
The Democrat party has been playing patsy with some pretty despicable characters. They have adopted a good number of A.N.S.W.E.R.S. talking points. It's been particularly shocking for me to hear them echo the A.N.S.W.E.R. talking points, because that organization is ultra-radical just below the surface. (Not even below the surface, at times.)
A.N.S.W.E.R. backs the Palestinians without reservation. It also networks with South American radicals who themselves are terroristic in nature. Then there's the Philipene terrorists who have also had representatives at A.N.S.W.E.R.S. rallies.
In one rally broadcast from the mall in Washington, D.C., A.N.S.W.E.R. had Palestinian, South American and Philipene terrorist organization representatives present from the stage. Also present were many advocates of flooding the United States with citizens of poorer nations.
The A.N.S.W.E.R. folks say they don't like Democrats any better than Republicans, but I have never seen them carry even one sign that was anti-Democrat, Clinton, Kerry or other Democrat operative.
If asked, I'm sure the Democrats would disown the A.N.S.W.E.R. crowd too. The sad truth is though, that they along with Michael Moore, Bill Maher and others have been duped by the socialist terrorist sympathizing radicals from the ultra-left. Kerry/Edwards seem to love what they have to say.
The rehetoric from the left has been ratcheted up for year after year. Today it's just short of an out and out call for Jihad, because the left as a politically viable platform, is almost beyond sale to the sane portion of the U.S. populace.
If something were to happen to Bush, there is a large faction in the left camp that would think it was justified. Just hang out near an A.N.S.W.E.R. rally long enough, and you'll know what I'm talking about.
The left in the nation should hang it's head in shame, but it's so far gone that it has no shame, and is incapable of reason at just about any level.
Note the manipulation of our troops for political gain. Note the dismissing of our allies in Iraq for political gain. Note the attempt to sway the course of the war against the policies of the United States, for political gain.
Folks, the left is the front for the world's radicals, in the United States. Forget about Dan Rather and his connections to them, get the FBI to start checking out the cozy relationships between democrat supporters and the worlds leading terrorists.

First of all .. if you're going to prophesy about people you better have a good handle on their character. I don't see that working in this prophesy and I would therefore reject it.
I wouldn't be surprised to find out Soros was willing to hire someone .. but I would suspect he would be one of the first ones the USSS would be looking at.
As a Bush supporter and Bush 2004 Elector, I hope they catch those nuts---FAST---and prosecute them to the FULLEST extent of the law!
Something that strikes me a strange, though, is that if they don't like BUSH, they SURELY wouldn't want CHENEY as President!!! And since it is now past Bush's first two years, Cheney would be eligible to serve 2-1/2 terms. And Cheney would likely get a HUGE sympathy vote.
Surely, they are not THAT STUPED!!!
I pray for President and Mrs. Bush, and Vice President and Mrs. Cheney, nightly, as well as for all of our Country's leaders (Republican and RAT). I will start saying even more special prayers for the Bushes.
I have met the Bushes several times and they are VERY sweet, down to earth people. (I've even been kissed by President Bush the night before he won his second term as Governor---in plain sight of Laura, BTW).
They are both VERY easy to talk to, they take a GENUINE intertest in you as if you are the only person around and they don't constantly look past you to see who else they could be talking to. I would LOVE to have been able to have known them personally through the years and to have been able to call them my friends.
It's a REAL SHAME that there are nutcakes out there who try to do people harm.
