If I hadn't seen it for myself I wouldn't have believed it. Living on the west side of the Cascade mountains not far from Seattle I am accustomed to seeing Kerry/Edwards signs practically everywhere.
My husband and I went to the Puyallup Fair which is one of the largest in the country and draws thousands. Under the grandstand there were the Democrat and Republicans booths handing out yard signs, stickers etc. After spending all day and night at the fair I can tell you that 8 out of 10 fair goers who were making a political statement were either wearing or carrying a Bush/Cheney sign. Even more surprising was that most were young people. Even a few vendors had Bush/Cheney stickers on their tables. I did not see one vendor with a Kerry/Edwards sticker.
The K-flopper is the weakest candidate for P in a generation. Unfortunately for the dems, their two "be still my heart!" candidates - the Deaniac and She-Who-Wants-To-Be-Obeyed - were known to be unelectable...
Haven't seen that one, sounds good though.
Not on the other side of Lake Washington or on the east side of the State. It's just idiots that crowd around Puget Sound.
Oh, and by the way, it rains here all the time.
WA ping
Also it rains here a lot.
Yes and we all have webbed feet.
I dunno. It seems mocked, somehow, standing in front of a (capitalist) Taco Del Mar. Last time I saw it it had the brown remains of a garland that had been draped around the cap, and one bright yellow toy rubber duck perched on the peak of the cap and another on one of the shoes.
I worked the polls this last Tuesday for our Washington State Primary....got a sneak at the results of how many dems and repubs voted for various candidates here in our Precinct area, in Pierce County.....MY neighborhood looked to be almost 50-50. Of course this was those who chose to walk/drive to vote, NOT do a mail in....as the majority do.
There was one sign in downtown Seattle that read, "Support The Iraqi Resistance!" That sign drew street protests from conservatives...and the wacko left wing was incensed, came out and made an ugly scene. What a bunch of anti-corporation marxists/anti-semites/anti-Iraqi liberation/socialist losers!
The statue of Lenin is for sale! I didn't know that. Some liberal will probably buy it and put it in a more prominent place.
Seattle's liberal...until they considered a latte tax!
I honestly cannot believe how much it RAINS around here. Simply ghastly!
I'll never forget the WTO rios and the Mardi Gras riot. The fact that the police were held back while mayhem was allowed just shows how crazy they are in Seattle. Also remember INS in Seattle let Malvo and his mother go.
Seattle is a hard core leftist city, but the rest of the state leans right. I'd say that as a whole the state leans left with about 55% liberal and 45% conservative. The middle is pretty squishy though and conservatives manage to win from time to time.
I see the same happining in here in the town where I live in Colorado. For some time you would only see a Kerry/Edwards sign here and there, then in the last few weeks the Bush/Cheney signs are everywhere. In some neighborhoods you will see several houses in a row along bothe sides of the street with Buch/Cheney signs.
I think folks are beginning to wake up about flip-flop Kerry who has been on both sides of every issue, some several times.
