A Republican state senator from Roswell and several people from other political parties on Saturday called for state District Court Judge Wendy York to resign.
Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry's federal disclosure records show a $1,000 campaign contribution earlier this year from Wendy E. York of Albuquerque. Meanwhile, the judge ruled Friday that Ralph Nader cannot run in New Mexico as an independent presidential candidate, knocking him off the state's Nov. 2 ballot.
State judges may contribute to a political organization, according to New Mexico's Code of Judicial Conduct. But York should have recused herself from the Nader case, state Sen. Rod Adair, R-Roswell, said.

Well Bill(clinton) Richardson was on TV this AM, bragging about how NM stopped people from having the choice to vote for Nader. Anyone that doesn't know the Evil dums are commie/fascist/socist/ are .....well DUMB.
Judges throughout America have gone to flaunting their authority and thumbing their noses at the American public. They are legislating from the bench without any oversight. America and her constitution are being overthrown by the ABA. Wise up America before it is to late.
At the very least, Nader is entitled to injunctive relief and expedited hearing on appeal here.
Nader took 4% of the vote last election.
Gore only won by about 300 votes.
The polls have Kerry and Bush neck and neck in NM.
Nader would kill any chance Kerry has if he got on the ballot.

Unbelievable! Looks like they're in bed together
eating their bread.
I was polled the Nader campaign this morning. Besides asking if I was going to vote and who I was going to vote for, they asked if there was a chance that I would support Nader. I answered "No way". Now, I really think I was wrong. The cheating Democratic party needs to be stopped and Ralph needs all the help he can get.
Yeah, and speaking of being in bed together, what's with John McCain....again! He is one man who I could never trust, but apparently he is complaining about the way the war is being fought and talking about all the mistakes Bush has made.
Democrats are so short-sighted. This attempt to make participation in the democratic process difficult and expensive is going to come back and bite them hard in several years when they are a third party.
Thanks.
Isn't that how they "found" 366 extra votes for Al in a closet somewhere in 2000, just like in South Dakota for Johnson in 2002?
OMG, I don't trust him either. He's very unreliable, the kind of guy that makes me nervous. I don't really like him frankly.
My gosh. Thanks, MistyCA.
Democrats cheat.
This morning on Fox News Sunday, Richardson actually bragged that the 'Rats had been able to get Nader off the ballot. Hope this bites them big time.
While everyone made a big deal about the closeness of 2000 election in Florida...remember that in New Mexico, Gore only won by something like 366 votes. That was a smaller margin than the final results in Florida. That makes this decision more outrageous because the Democrats know if Nader's on the ballot, Kerry has little chance of winning. The Democrats are seriously undermining the democratic process in this country....using liberal lawyers and judges to challenge anything and anyone who could be a threat to their power.
There is a new article with McCain trashing Bush. I gave it to Howlin and hope it is posted soon. I will ping you.
Pfffft! Figures!
McCains a piece of trash. He hits the campaign trail, looking buddy-buddy with Bush, then turns around and lobs grenades through media appearances.
You know, the good people of New Mexico need to take the state back from the Hollywood elite's who have set up housekeeping there. Those idiots imported their activism from California and New York to a friendly, blue collar, unsuspecting place of beauty. I lived there in the sixties and it was wonderful and I feel quite sure it can be again. Just knowing Jane Fonda and her ilk are there makes me sick. This "Judge" shows her true colors and they are RED, RED and RED!
