DUBAI, Sept 19 (Reuters) - An Islamist group has threatened to kill 15 captured Iraqi soldiers if authorities do not release an aide to Shi'ite rebel cleric Moqtada al-Sadr within 48 hours, Arab television Al Jazeera reported on Sunday.
It showed a video of masked gunmen standing near a group of uniformed men it said were members of Iraq's National Guard.
We should execute the aide at once, and then everyone of the so called religion of peace leaders on live TV. That these throwbacks will understand.
If they were to kill Sadr which perhaps should have been done a couple of months ago, he would have no need of an aide.

I agree. In addition if they execute the Iraqi soldiers, it will encourage the rest not to surrender.

Where's the Red Cross. Aren't these people being held as prisoners? Where are the other watch groups?
