Who is your favorite conservative radio talk show host?

Posted on 09/17/2004 8:18:26 PM PDT by RedOhio

I was just wondering what everyone's favorite talk radio show is. My favorite is Glenn Beck. Your thoughts?

I hear ya, Valleygal...I live in Mesa and on a local level, Barry Young is da man...Nationally, I'd have to cast my vote for Sean Hannity.

The ONLY one I listen to is Savage.

660's just about got me wrapped up. Bennett, Laura, Medved. Pretty good lineup.

I forgot a couple...

O'Reilly--blows. Can't stand the guy. It's always I, I, I, me, me, me, I'm fighting for you against The Man! Please.

Jason Lewis in Charlotte--I've heard him twice while driving around up there, and I can see why the folks in Minnesota miss him. He's pretty good.

I've never heard Savage, I can't pick him up at night out here. I used to like Michael Reagan a lot but we don't get him here any more.

Oh yeah, and Cigar Dave. I don't know a ring gauge from a humidor, I just like his radio voice.

Laura Ingraham--love her and her cohorts in the studio add a lot to the show.

  1. Laura. Smart, sassy, and funny
  2. Hannity. Occasionally a liitle sappy, but smart, and sincere
  3. Rush. If only he'd give up on the self promotion, he;d be higher. He's the granddaddy of them all, why does he have to keep reminding us?
  4. The rest: Savage is a wacko megalomaniac, Glen Beck is boring. O Reilly is beneath contempt. Medved; well we don't get him here, but yawn when I've heard him.

Hugh Hewitt because he is more than one dimensional.
He puts more perspective on a subject than most of the others with possibly Dennis Prager.

It'a all about The Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies. MahaRushie is the best.

It's easier to list the ones I don't like, begining with Savage, who is simply an embarassment, like a crazy Uncle at a family affair. Next is Hannity, with his extremely shallow analysis, repetition and endles self-promotion. John and Ken used to be good, but they are populists, not conservatives, and are as likely to come down on the wrong side of an issue as the right side. Prager, Hewitt, Ingraham, Medved, Bennett, Beck -- best of the bunch. Rush too, when he sticks to politics.

Oh, and Michael Medved OF COURSE.

I said Laura Ingraham earlier and sort of forgot Michael because I now live in Palm Springs and can't get Michael here. I sure do miss him. He's brilliant and one of the best debaters around. If I could get both Michael & Laura, and live here in the desert--well, life would just be too good.

Rush of course, Hannity second, Hugh Hewitt third.

Laura, no one even comes close to being as right on the mark or as funny. Rush is a close second.

Michael Medved. He's the smartest host out there.

I'm with you, sink. I love Medved. The man is brilliant.

Yep, it's Medved. The guy's an encyclopedia and an excellent debater. You can just hear him setting the traps...

Kirby Wilbur - KVI Seattle

Balanced, connected, smart and articulate. Kirby is the model of the local conservative talk show that has connections and influence in the broader spectrum of conservative thought - but stays our down home guy.

I only hope some big network doesn't entice him to leave. I'd be happy for him, but sad to lose the most articulate conservative voice in Seattle; {which I need not mention, are very few and far between}!
