No offense, but this seems like something the DUers would post over on their site (but about the Republicans, of course). Okay, I guess I did mean offense.

Astounding that CBS News would run a major story based on faxed copies coming from a local Kinkos. Don't you think they would send someone to meet with the source, view the "originals," and supervise the making of any further copies?

Yes, and Abilene has been indicated. Buffalo Gap is a suburb of Abilene.

Rebelbase and Tblshow deserve the credit for the find, excellent work folks. I am merely giving the the Breaking News attitude it deserves. I say this to the DNC "Je' accuse"

When you send from a fax machine, the machine usually stamps the date and the number and name of the machine if it's been entered by the machine's owner. I never saw the stamp on the documents, but apparently the WaPo got a better version of the docs.

What the hell does all this gibberish mean? I read it 4 times and still can't make out what it means. Something about fat, Texas women who are DIMS.

I still haven't seen just how these forgeries have been determined to have come from the Kinko's. Can someone explain it to me or point me to the info? Bless you for asking good questions. I wish more people would be more careful about what they believe.
In this case, the Kinko's story seems to be well documented, even by the left-leaning press (where they need tons of proof before they'll print anything that might be helpful to Republicans). For example, here's a NY Times story:
Ex-Guardsman Is Said to Be a CBS Source
I'm pretty sure the Washington Post also reported this info.

The fax number printed at the top of the memos when looked at by one of those who examined them.
BTW, this "connection" to this Women's democratic group is not any more powerful than the fact this Kinko's is where Burkett has an account and lives 20 minutes or so away.
His link, at this point, is greater. The ARMY language in the memos, his declaration in article he (ostensibly) posted on a blog that Bush's NG records have been "recreated" (or some word with similar meaning).
The bigger suspicious link to the DNC -- or at least the Texas democrats and CBS -- is the link with Barnes, Burkett's lawyer AND ROBIN RATHER.

This sounds like guilt by association. Is there any evidence that Burkett or Barnes ever came to any meetings of this group? Abilene and vicinity have about 125,000 people, including some Democrat women, but they aren't necessarily privy to what the bigwigs are planning.
At this point the 'Rats can still blow the forgeries off as the work of some low-level person or some freelancer, or some loony like Burkett...we need to find a trail that leads to someone important.
Richard Nixon was safe as long as the only people known to be involved in Watergate were the burglars plus Liddy and Hunt. Since the people who control the Democratic Party now are mostly boomers who are still living in the late '60s/early '70s, they may know how to distance themselves from the underlings who will take the rap for the forgeries.

I cant remember exactly who said it, I know I heard it on Fox, but someone who was given the copies to "authorize" them, saw on the first one sent, the Kinkos name and phone number, address whatever from there in Texas...
