Check out the photo from yahoo. Only Kerry Supporters would do something so low.

I am an older brother of the little girl. I have read many of your posts, and am dying to answer your questions you have had. For starters, someone did their homework, and, yes, you have the right Phil Parlock. Father of 10, participated in Junior Achievement, NAACP, 4 time candidate for Board of Education, 2 children in the National Guard, of which I am one. Yes, the little boy is the little girl's and my brother, upset with the IUPAT guy. Thanks for posting this, and welcome to FreeRepublic. This kind of stuff just burns me up. I expect this kind of thuggery in, say, Phillidelphia, but not in West Virginia. The Washington Times has picked up the story so hopefully, it'll throw a little more egg on the faces of the democrats.
Thank you for serving our country.

Welcome to FR. You will have to save this thread and many other news stories as your little sister makes history. Thank you for your service in the National Guard. God bless your family.

Has your family spoken to any reporters about this? To have someone be so stupid to tear up a sign in front of a little girl and her brother is just lower than low. I don't care what anyone's politics are. My thoughts are with your family, especially your little sister.

Well I decided to give MORE money to Bush's campaign. Can you imagine if a Bush supporter did this to the child of a Kerry supporter?

Gotta love the DUmmies. The smart thing to do would be to marginalize this guy as some drunken yahoo whose last two brain cells have long since died of boredom. He certainly looks the part. They might or might not be able to contain it.
But when they attack her father, they look like they are condoning this stuff, and make it way more reflective on the Democratic mentality as a whole.
Which of course it is.

Great post, DaveMSmith. Most of us know the hypocrisy of the left and their supposed compassion, but to see it for real in a photograph is a harsh reality for many of us, especially those who have faith in people and believe they are basically good.

Your comment was Post #47, and the first one to agree with my sentiments.
I ask the other Freepers to consider what you would be saying about a father who brought his three-year-old child to a Bush Rally and had her hold up a Kerry sign, while sitting on her fathers' shoulders.
You all would be dissing the dad, big time. I'm not saying you would support tearing up the sign, but you would be challenging the father's use of a little girl to make a political confrontation.
It is ok for an adult to confront, protest, assert first amendment rights, etc.
It is not ok to put a child in that position. She is not able to make that decision, so he is using her.

Ok, if they were pushing and shoving a little girl, one, they are the lowest scum around, and two, I would have kicked somebody's ass.

There are so many posts on this thread, but my immediate impression was that perhaps this boy on the right (dressed more in line with the man and little girl) might be a big brother ready to take somebody down.

Fire up the videocamera and catch the little vandal(s). Better yet, hook up a webcam and we can ALL watch it LIVE. :-)

The picture of the event is very emotional, very important in its impact.
The knowledge is even more important!
If Rush or Hannity or Boortz are informed, then THEY can spread the word, even if they are "only" radio.

I wasn't on the computer last night, what a heart-breaking picture. I would hope it will get some air time on Fox.
I hope the poor little girl and her Dad get a front seat at the Inauguration.

Sorry. Taking a three-year-old to a Kerry rally and giving her a Bush/Cheney sign is stupid. Stupid and wrong. Stupid, wrong and abusive. This father should be ashamed of himself.
We all know that Union Thugs are violent, and will tear down signs and resort to physical intimidation. What did this father think would happen? Did he think that they would not attack his little girl, so he would be able to keep his opposition sign at the front of the crowd?
That is exploitation of the child. This is all the father's fault. Complaining about this would be like complaining about your child being bit while you hang her by her ankles over the tiger cage.
The Union Thugs are Union Thugs. We know what they are like.

Neal Boortz has it on his site, and will cover it later today nationally.

"Did you see that AP photo of the little 3-year-old girl crying after some Democrat thugs took her Bush-Cheney sign and ripped it up? Nice guys, those Kerry supporters. Someday she'll realize how lucky she was that they weren't Muslim terrorists .. then it would have been a bullet in the back."

" BTW we got the plate number of the guy who threw the torn sign pieces at us and called him in to the littering hotline. Although my dad was distraught with those taking and ripping up signs, he continued to endure and show restraint- we weren't there to cause trouble, rather, we were there show the dedication of Bush supporters." He sure did show restraint, If I had been in his shoes I'm not sure I wouldn't have punched out that punk.
Oh and welcome to FR!
