They can't do that to our pledges! University students draw a bead on their classmates during military drills in Guangzhou, China. The Chinese believe regimental training improves student discipline.
Dyed in the wool: Little Bo Peep wouldn't have lost her sheep if she had spray-painted them pink and yellow, as these shepherds did in rainy Calcutta, India.
They are sooo poised: Little Miss Lollipop, Briella DiGicinto, 3, stands in awe of glamorous veterans at the Miss America preliminary competition in Atlantic City, N.J. The contest always draws young girls decked out in pageant regalia won in the minor leagues of beauty.
Haute couture: Suspended 65 feet above the street by rappelling ropes, models show off the latest designs on the "vertical catwalk" of a store in Frankfurt, Germany.
Old friends, bookends Some benches in Sydney's Taronga Zoo are double-sealed for your protection.
The sheep are ... amazing.
Simply stunning, and thank you for sharing!
You ever get the name to the song from the Billy Jack film?
"One Tin Soldier" sung by Coven, I think. (That the one?)
Other goodies:
Al Martino "To the Door of the Sun"
Roger Whittaker "The Last Farewell"
The first time I ever heard "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" wasn't when Roberta Flack sang it. The Smothers Brothers did that song, on their "Play It Straight" album, I believe. Harpsichord background. Great arrangement! (Their politics suck, but those boys could harmonize and sing. They had some good routines, too.) ;)

Underway sonar is the "eyes and ears" of the submarine and is responsible for tracking all surface ships and submarines, developing ranges and building contact solutions. Sonar also continuously monitors and tracks changes in the ocean's environment such as biologic activity, ambient noise levels and shipping levels. Toledo is part of USS John F. Ahem!!!!!
Great song by a good singer.
for you are beautiful
and I have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell
It is funny. I alwasy know the last 3 lines of song. When a song was playing on the air, I was getting the next song cued, and getting commericals ready, deciding what I was going to say to intro the next song, checking the latest weather conditions and temp, taking requests, and then hearing the last three lines before opening the mike.
I always heard the last three lines.
Here was the last station I owned

BTW, my nephews were at the zoo this past weekend and saw and ostrich lay an egg in the water. Don't know why she did it in the water, but my nephews thought it was the coolest thing they have ever seen! LOL!
