WASH POST: Documents allegedly written by deceased officer that raised questions about Bush's service with Texas National Guard bore markings showing they had been faxed to CBS News from a Kinko's copy shop in Abilene, Texas... Developing...
Burkett may be the bag man, but the person who wrote these memos was not in the Guard or the military.
Sounds very plausible, but why would CBS fax docs from a Kinko's in Abilene? We need to get a date when the fax was sent.

cheaties, or chads? hanging chads, pregnant chads, partial chads, indented chads... i truly hope not to relive that again... i was at a KINKOS (haha) when the Florida Supreme Kangaroo Court overturned that judge's (what was his name?) decision, and let the recount continue... i almost threw up, i was so upset... i went to my car and cried... and then we went to SCOTUS...
and i was having lunch in San Francisco when my husband called me to say SCOTUS stopped the recount (the first time)... it still was not over at that point...

Baird is a little-bity town. Both listings are the same jerk. If Dan Rather can pose as a journalist, why can't we play one and find out what's really going on? Heaven knows c-BS won't share with us. Let's call this guy and ask!!! BTW...Its busy.
I didn't say he was from Abilene. I said Barnes could be linked to both the Kerry campaign and to CBS -- and warranted the "unimpeachable source" designation.
He didn't fall, he participated. If it could be discovered here within an hour that the documents weren't likely authentic, CBS had to know as well. Rather didn't trust his source on the documents, in my opinion, he trusted the "recreations" they would be able to do if only they had a vehicle from which to launch the story. So you get Barnes, a partisan hack and some faked memos.
Here is the thing that makes me believe that CBS might really have a hand in writing this fiction...why are they the ones who got the story? If somebody is out there with fake memos don't you think they would have been shopped? But the story itself has been shopped in as much as it's around the internet without the current players. Rather himself gives this theory merit by saying there is too much focus on the authenticity of the memos, not the substance. Tonight he did it again by pushing the substance with a woman who admitted they were fakes. Rather has a history of doing this.
The bottom picture is an obvious forgery. Someone 'chopped dan Rather's face onto some fat lesbian.

---In Texas, 20 miles is around the corner. I dare say most folks in Baird go into "town" (Abilene) at least once a week. Sure there are FAX machines in Baird, these docs might have been prepared on a Kinko's computer to keep Burkett's hard drive clean. Same reason you'd want to use an "untraceable" fax.---
Perhaps someone from the Kerry campaign or DNC got the memos from Barnes and faxed them in Abeline before flying out. Or maybe it was done later to make a trail to Burkett. I'd like to see the date and time on those documents.
