Instead of CBS 60 minutes--and whatever Hollywood-news half hour precedes it--WVLT (local Knoxville, TN station) is showing a Billy Graham film! Just after 8:00 there was a message at the bottom of the screen saying that 60 Minutes would be shown in its entirety at 2:07 tomorrow morning.
WMBD Peoria, at least on my TV, went off the air 2.5 minutes into the CBS evening news. I was trying to tape it for historical purposes.
Unfortunately it's on the Tampa affiliate (channel 10). Doesn't mean i'm going to watch it though
Thanks friend.
It is on in Boston.
However the Red Sox have the bases loaded, and also Laura is about to appear on O'Reilly to blast the pompous one.
Here I am without my Tivo activated. Life is rough.
I'll try to see if 60 Minutes of BS has anything worthy to report.
Dan Rather is a
That show should have a BARF ALERT on the screen...
Not scheduled on KZTV, out of Corpus Christi, Texas.
It's not 8 yet and I have a meeting to go to. CSI is scheduled at 9, maybe they'll figure it out.
I am overjoyed that many local affiliates seem to not be showing this. Wooo Hoooo! We can keep up with the proceedings, I am sure, on the live thread if we want to. I am just really encouraged that many local affiliates decided to take the high ground.
First half of 59 minutes didn't show in Orlando. Preempted by an interview piece on Matthew Broderick. ????
I swear, if the public buys this, I will forever believe that Americans are as stupid as Michael Moore says!
Mary Carr Knox established the documents to be fakes, period. The rest of her comments were personal conjecture.
She said things like "I'm going to say that...," "it seemed that way to me" "it was my perception," "there was gossip that..." She said it seemed someone did see those memos and tried to reproduce them. "But this is all supposition." Rather told her that Killian's son disputes her story. She looked confident and almost gloating as she responded to Rather "He has no way of knowing if htat is true or not."
She said "I think it's plain and simple." Bush didn't think he had to go by the same rules as everyone else. "He had a campaign to tend to, and that's what he did."
Rather summarized by saying whether the docs are fake or not, memo critics haven't criticized the major thrust, that Bush got preferential treatment and failed to meet the requirements of his service.
Mary Carr Knox is an admitted democrat partisan (didn't admit on 60 Min.). She acted like the gossips at work. She's enjoying the limelight. Reading the transcript only gives you part of the story. You should see the thrill she gets out of telling her story.
Call them back and tell them you will testify against them the next time their FCC license renewal comes up before the FCC review board. KCBS is a wholly owned subsidiary of CBS and Viacom. Maybe that will get their attention.
Ixnay on the ixtysay inutesmay in Lubbock, Texas and I hear in Monroe, LA, too.
Must have been one hell of an email chain among the affiliate muckety mucks.
But, I don't know whether the above aired the CBS Grievening News or not.
LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!
PARTIAL ANSWER TO DECADES OF PRAYER ABOUT CBS.
THANK YOU LORD!
ROFL!
Perfect....great suggestion.
Establishing the documents to be fakes was simply to lend credibility to the rest of her comments. If she would have come on the air and said "Oh Yes I Typed Them, and I remember the contents being such as they say." You would have heard giggling across America.
But by saying something truthful such as: "these documents are fake." she gains credibility for the rest of her interview. People think, well, she blew wide open the answer to whether the documents are real or phony and since she just kicked Dan Rather in the shin the rest of her story is probably true.
Trust me, I married two shrinks and have one on the phone as I type.
Thank God I missed it. I never watch it anyway
