From LA Times: "I know that I didn't type them," said 86-year-old Marian Carr Knox. "However, the information in those is correct." But I read that she said she did type up his memos. I will provide the link if you need it.She means the actual memos CBS presented last week and claimed they had authenticated (but really hadn't). She didn't type those and has pointed out why: The setup, terminology and such. Yes, we all know she was his secretary and typed his real memos.
I will not watch this garbage when it airs here later, but appreciate notes. She is changing her story now, plus they're allowing idle gossip to stand as some kind of journalistic offering of evidence. They are on record, I believe, as saying they did not present the people Gary Killian recommended they speak with because they turned out to be pro-Bush.

That appears to be her. Same zip code at least. Wong is a Republican and was running in the GOP primary at that time. Knox didn't vote for her though - she voted Democrat in that primary.

I am sure Knox is a very nice 86-year-old woman
I'm not - I think she is at best a senile old bat with a partisan axe to grind, at worst a filthy liar. Being old doesn't make her more sympathetic or credible in my book - heck, most of the CBS staff predates her.

She said he was gentlemanly. With his knack for remembering names, I would guess he either glanced at her nameplate or called her ma'am. She is afterall, 30 years senior to GW.

She claims the forged CBS memos may have been constructed from "memory" by someone who had seen Lt. Col. Killian's private file. If she never typed the memos, there were no memos in the "private file" re: Lt. Bush. Therefore, there was nothing for anyone to "reconstruct" from memory. Or am I missing something here?

Let's not call her a liar. We need to IMPEACH her crediblity as a witness. I am probably the worst trial lawyer in the world (unless we are litigating issues of tax law), so don't look for me to do it. Treat her like any other witness...take her statements apart.
We don't have to get personal. We don't have to be mean. We merely need to show that she has made contradictory statements and that she has a partisan political bias...and that it looks like she is "enhancing" her memories with each telling of the story to make Bush look worse.
